Great content Tarik, thank you! I just have one question regarding your standing posture in no gi. When you take his foot off your hip and you take your heel off the floor like you explain at 12:40, are you worried that he can push you away by reaping you? That happens to me sometimes, and it also seems like he's in a relatively strong leg press-like position to do that. Thanks again, Oss!

Hey Max! Thank you for watching! Of course if the ruleset is with heel hooks you should always be aware of the reap 👍🏼 but in this situation you're already pointing your knee to his crouch and can easily step out if he deicides to change for a heel grip. A common term for you'll hear is to "clear the kneeline". Best regards, Tarik

@@TarikBJJ Ey thanks for your reply! That makes sense to me. And after you clear your knee, do you just step out fully and disengage? Or do you try to complete your turn and then still try to take his back or pass? (Apologies if you have video's on this, I just found your channel recently.) Either way, thanks again for commenting!

Hey Max! It's my pleasure! Personally I would rather disengage and then re-engage on own terms. But there is of course alternatives to counter and go for the back. Likely your opponent will try to defend the back take and that will make it easier to come up in a passing position. Oss! 🙌🏼😄
