When the trailers appeared I thought this guy was gonna be super busted and that it will be hard to balance him. I still think he is on the stronger side but he is definetely very very interesting and looks fun to play! EDIT: Forgot to mention but I really like the car battery interaction as it's not a simple upgrade but a sidegrade and you have to think if you really want it, neat stuff

idea for tarnished keeper: starts with 999 coins in inventory, coins in inventory starts counting down and kills you when it hits zero, has to kill to automatically earn back coins, every item is double the amount you have to pay normally for everything. Way to earn him: Kill Ultra Greed or Greedier with 99 coins at the end of the game

I liked the character since it's risky to play as it, but even though it's really over powered when you get up to 8 broken hearts and having marked, it still has this difficulty manner that you cannot take more than 4 damage, making it balanced since you need to be very careful or else you die, but in general it's a really good character and a risky one. I would say it's a mixture of the lost and tainted judas plus some stuff to make it more spicy.

I love it, the concept and the fact that it's a mod at all. I would recommend lowering it's range a lot to make the use of the shadow clones more important (maybe even increase a few of the multiplyiers lowered for balance to focus on the range) Thank you to the team for working on this! Tarnished Issac so tainted Issac but more thought on what to keep and what to drop(Blighted Dice is a one item D4 with 2 choices but it will become broken dice. Is broke dice is used you can D4 an item with no choices but gain a broken heart. Also the Pedalstals not from blogged or broken dice if you have broken dice will be sacrificed to fix the broken dice)

You could use the blighted dice to remove an item to then become 2 items and if you pickup one the other one disappears. I thought something more unique would happen. Like lets say you can get two items. But nope its ass. I guess you can say you can get special room items when you pop it. But its not unique either.

I love it but I think it could maybe offer some angelic alternative since it seems like the idea is based around corruption and redemption. Maybe if you have no broken hearts angel rooms could remove a shadow and give an extra hp slot or two above the usual cap? Defensive play versus greed play essentially. Or maybe something else, idk still seems very cool and I really like the Tarnished characters as narrative and gameplay blends.

Its interesting because low health characters and no red health characters are usually evil, demonic or "lost" in some way. Low health encourages them to take angel deals (repent) rather than devil deals (sin). Tarnished Judas wants to keep sinning despite not having much health in the first place. Pretty great concept!

i would recommend not picking up incubus as tarnished judas (unless for the broken hearts), when i did it just disappeared. in guessing its cause the shadows are just incubi in disguise

It made the game really laggy in co-op. It’s only meant to handle 8 max(even if it’s potentially poorly) so TR Judas would potentially lag or outright be a crash cause in co-op. The incubus in disguise coding was used for this reason.

I mean unless you have certain synergies the shadows won't do that much. When they're far, they won't hit really often and it won't be much more help than a seraphim familiar or things like that. If they're close, they deal so little damage they don't even make up for the 20% damage down

putting the shadows in the same spot as judas then using descent should merge him with the shadows until you use descent again. when merged with the shadows the amount of damage you do is half of your amount of shadows when not merged with them+1 times your damage stat but you don’t have any shadows instead of doing 0.8x damage but having shadows like you do normally
