Thank you!! Cat I think you can definitely replicate a lot of what I do through brands like The Ordinary. I've been intending forever to make a video on how to assemble a skin care routine like that, based on the needs you have and the ingredients that address them. I've done that on and off throughout the years. The only reason I gravitate toward more formulated products is being too lazy to open 8 different bottles at night versus 4. I don't think you have to spend a ton of money to get results. I am going to make that video as soon as final grading is finished this week. It's time to get that done!

So far Virginia has been quite reasonable I think (and we are under SAH orders until June 10). I don't plan to spend time in public even once the state begins to reopen until we've got a reasonably effective treatment and vaccine (and in my opinion, a treatment that reduces duration by 30% is nowhere near reasonable enough for me to feel safe catching it). I'll be at home at least through summer, I'm assuming!

@@goow I'm in total agreement. Numbers are rising, not declining. I understand that people need an income, but at what cost? I haven't been anywhere in 6 weeks, since my immune system is compromised. It's hard, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. PA is opening golf courses on Saturday, and I believe local parks. Let's see what happens to these protesters when they fall ill from the virus. Perhaps then they'll change their tune. I'm with you. I'll be home all summer, and thank God for Amazon!

Looked kinda nice, but the sticky factor is no-no for me... I like a slightly dewy finish, but not quite that sticky - something that tacky just would not last in the humidty here, even set with powder (and you'd need a tonne of it).

I too prefer dewy foundations but they can be tricky. If if doesn't dry down to where I can touch it or apply powdered makeup, I get really frustrated. I don't get breakouts either but when a product causes them, it's out the window! At my age I won't live long enough for acne scars to disappear. :-O Stay safe, stay healthy Shelly! :)

I started using sunscreen about a month ago. I am 27 with no sun damage or at least no visible sun damage on my face. I have now started making my husband and both my children boy and girl use sunscreen on their face daily also.

YESSSSSS do it!!! I'm so glad!! That's the sneaky thing about sun damage - a lot of it you literally won't see until decades later!! Prevent it NOW and you won't see it then!

Just wanted to say this product would be a glowy mess on my skin, and I don’t know who would use this except someone overdoing their exfoliating process. See how they get people to buy more? ‘It’s too glowy, it’s not glowy enough, I’m too dry.’ I personally don’t think more exfoliation or retin a use is better. More does not make you younger. And I think we’re being lied to about how to do that and to still be able to achieve the best result. Pack your retin a on each day in a million different ways, but that may not be better for ME. I just noticed how much better my Lancome looks without slathering on so much retin a.😂

Oh man, yes Shelley, I wish I could tell myself (in my youth that by 41 w all that skin exposure) that I was damaging my skin and would have sun spots!!! Thanks for another great review. I’m waiting in my delivery of Dior face and body, forever skin glow and concealer. You rank them so high and so far every foundation I have tried on your recommendation, I love. This is my first Dior purchase and I can’t wait to try. Have you ever thought about or tried to DIOR air flash? I’m very curious if it’s worth the money. I don’t like spending a lot, but will if the products works. I was thinking of getting the mini size of this, and to take care of problems U mentioned ( of Polka Pores) I would wear either another moisturizer underneath, or a quality hydrating primer, which would sink into the pores, though my pores are tiny, yet so are yours. . (I use Bobbi B's Face Base under almost everything now) Also I planned to buy a shade 2 or 3 shades darker than my skin, with a warm or honey tone to give me noticeable color. . However doing all that defeats the purpose of having a simple tinted moisturizer, I guess. Might as well get the NARS one, or Chantecaille Future Skin, or Chanel water tint--- the one with the little beads u must break up with the brush. (I'd really only consider the NARS one) I'm almost done with regular foundations in life, and like these light tints, but maybe it's just seasonal, cause it's getting hot outside) I'm glad to hear it was comfortable on your skin as that's important -- (I LIKE TACKY creams and Foundations😉for real. Makes me feel something is actively hydrating my skin)) . So getting a darker shade would be the answer for me, but I don't know if I could put up with all the other things I have to do to combat the problems you mentioned. You looked real good, AS USUAL!!! 🤗😎

Well great. I bought this because I love Tarte but I have acne and I need coverage but I would go and buy two bottles of something before watching a video review... I almost never break out so it always concerns me when I do. They were definitely reaction breakouts because they cleared up as quickly as they came within 2 days of not using it.

Have you tried the foundcealer? I have very sensitive and dry skin and it was lovely in my skin. Dewy and honestly reminded me of a tinted moisturizer. Doesn’t really set though, so be warned!

I love a natural look..i use Tartegaurd cc cream and love it..then use Estae Lauder dbl.wear on sun spots with a sponge..perfect no makeup look👍I know I would love this product in the winter when I'm a bit more dry..but definitely needs to be set😊

Girl I embrace my freckles. They used to bother me until my next door neighbor told me when I was about 8 that freckles make woman look beautiful. That did it for me. It really helped me to get over the freckles issue. but I might say that when I put foundation on I like full coverage bc I have rosacea on my one cheek.

I was trying to figure out which ingredient it was because I am so very NOT prone to breakouts but I don't see anything that stands out. I don't have good luck with Tarte in general aside from their blushes. It makes me wonder if it's the clay. When I wear blush I wear it so lightly that maybe I don't react to that, but something like foundation, I do. My eyelids don't like their eyeshadows either.

Hi Shelly! As I was watching this, you mentioned the Kosas tinted face oil and showed it in your swatches. So I looked it up in your foundation fest list to see what grade you gave it and to watch a review but it's not in the list. I'll look for a video but what did you think of it, being an oil? Is it oily on the skin?

Changing subject, LOL. Do you find the Pat Macgrath mini eyeshadow palettes the same quality as the normal size ones? I wanted to buy the mini as I don't want to spend too much on the big palettes, but I saw some reviews on their website saying it's not the same quality.

They seem exactly the same to me. I have all but 1 of the Motherships, and then all of the 6-pan minis and just got the new Blitz Astral quads (I've only used 2 of them so far). But so far they seem to all be the same formula. She does have a variety of finishes, and for example in one of the Blitz quads, one of the shadows is the topper formula, which seems like a waste in a quad because you are really limited to the number of shades and it makes more sense to use finishes that can multi-task, where those topper shades really can only be toppers. So that sort of curation of finishes baffles me a bit (you have more flexibility in a larger palette with more pans). But each one seems comparable to other shadows of the same finish in her line.

Hi!my foundation never looks good on my chin..in the center, the crease,the fold of my chin .i have lot of texture it doesn't feels smooth.can only put a tiny amount and my chin can look very red so like to put more foundation there.Do you ever have that problem??xx

Yep my chin is almost always red. Sometimes I use a pore filling primer on my chin just for the extra grip, but I don't do that in reviews to test if the foundation can stay put on its own. Most can't 😂

It's still there :) I just filmed this one before the new background. There might be one or two more videos in the next week that go back and forth between the old and new. But the new is permanently up now :) I just pre-film and then for example foundation reviews go on Fridays, so some more recently filmed videos snuck in before it. :)
