[TAS] Sonic Megamix v3.0 - Speedrun as Sonic

Sonic the Hedgehog Megamix (commonly shortened to Sonic Megamix) is a work-in-progress multiperson disassembly modification of the original Sonic the Hedgehog videogame for the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis, headed up by Team Megamix and more recently moved to the Sega Mega-CD. The game features the ability to play as one of five different characters: Sonic the Hedgehog, Mighty the Armadillo, Shadow the Hedgehog, Miles "Tails" Prower, and Knuckles the Echidna. It is an extensive reworking of the original game, featuring new art, music, abilities, layouts, and other things.

You either, use Kega for 4.0 and 5.0 or, you use Blastem for versions 0.5 to 3.0.

Something that annoys me with the Sonic one hacks that the Volcano Valley music is OVERUSED (and is used only in Marble Zone only). It's not escapable

To be fair, this hack is easily almost 10+ years old and started the “wave” of people doing that. It also makes sense to use it, as Marble has a similar aesthetic to Volcano Valley.

@@sonc_In my experience every single one is bad. I lost the charging cable for it & haven’t used it since. Instead I got real hardware in the form of a model 2 genesis & Sega CD, plus a 32X. I also got my genesis pre modded with a triple bypass, but it needed some repair because the power jack was bad & needed to be replaced & it only powers on if my Sega CD is connected to it. It’s super bizarre.
