Very interesting point too, bounce down in sections,I get it, because my dp03sd only have 8tracks and 1 master track, you helped me realize I don't need the 24 track because I swear it was on my mind and I just saw an older 24 track for nearly 50% off used, but you made me realize, I don't really need it, man thank you so much!

Nice man and yes it's good to not get stuck in too many options.

Interesting concept, Now I have second thoughts about buying a 24-track Tascam. However, when you bounce tracks, don't they lose gain?

Great video, thanks. Who is the guy you refer to in your video? Thanks

In your scenario of the guitar player that uses a stereo track and then another stereo track to double it, and the solo track, making 5 tracks.... If we add a second guitarist in the band that wants to also do that same thing too, making a total of 5 tracks.... would it be best to bounce all 10 tracks down to a stereo track? Or, is it better to bounce each set of 5 tracks into their own seperate track? Like by bouncing 10 tracks into 2 stereo tracks, wouldn't that give you better flexibility in mixing the final mix like maybe you want some sections of guitarist 1 to be louder than guitarists 2 and vice versa? Like is that something that would be deisreable to even do and if so is this the best way to achieve that?

Personally, I would bounce down all guitar 1 down to one track, bounce all the tracks for guitar 2 down to its own track.. When writing the stereo track, I would do a live fader adjustment on the guitar faders, to have one louder for certain parts

@@ryan2stix Thanks for the info! How do you think the Tascam 24 compares to something like the SSL Big Six which is not a whole lot more in cash? I realize the Big Six has less channels, but do you think the SSL Big Six would have a better sound? Not saying I hear anything actually wrong with the Tascam, I'm just curious
@ryan2stix2 ай бұрын
@@veronatragedy7016 I personally haven't used the SSL Big Six...but...I know when compared to the zoom L20 recorders, the tascam has been said to be more "warm"...the Zoom L20 is said to be more "bright"

I assume when you bounce your mixing it to a stero track on the SD card ? and then importing into the 1 track you want it on ?

I've seen a couple vids of people using the sub outs and routing them back into a stereo channel..I think that might be faster? 🤔
@sottilario72132 ай бұрын
Why can I only import them on stereo tracks? Why can’t I bounce a mono guitar track let’s say to mono 1?

kinda like the john Glenns method ?

Where’s the explanation on how to bounce tracks? Please rename this post as managing tracks only. Thanks.

Record stero file of selected tracks, import to desired track, or use sub. You're welcome

@@ryan2stix Thanks. But how do you take selected tracks, (1,2,5,8 for example) and bus them to a stereo tracks (20,21, for example, without first stacking them on a sun mix?

@cranialheap record tracks 1,5,7,8 import to track 20/21.. or... select sub for tracks 1,5,7,8 and patch cable the sub outs into stereo track 20/21.. arm track 20/21.. hit record play, the tracks are now bounced down to the desired track, freeing up tracks 1,5,7,8 for more recording 🤘
