amazing job, pure old school recording. Great memories. I did the same song in my 4 track, like 35 years ago, just with a nylon guitar and a tambourine. I felt I was a real music enginier. great chanel!!

Thanks for your kind words. It does make you feel like a real recording engineer, indeed 😀

Plot twist: 2:37-46 The loose bass string was specifically to be in time with the muted guitar.

Thanks for sharing Dennis, yet again you have proved that old school analogue still has its charm. The only time I use digital is when I'm mixing down from my Tascam 488mk1 8 track to commission to cd. I am just loving your video episodes. Please keep doing what you do so wonderfully, because you have helped me back to writing and recording again my dear friend. Much respect to you Dennis. Regards. Paul.

Hi Dennis, I just listened to all the tracks of Henk that you recorded, and I have to say I found them really pleasing to the ears. I couldn't believe they were actually recorded on a four track cassette recorder, the sound was so clean and professional. Thanks for sharing, as I have now subscribed. Kind regards my friend. Paul

I love this video of Eye Of The Tiger. When I saw the screenshot of the boxing glove on the video I thought it was another method of punching in/out. Sorry I couldn't resist that little joke my friend hahaha. You are a true joy to watch. Kindest regards. Paul.

This is great. My first four track was the Porta 01, which basically the same thing as this. No eq, no effects outs, and no ability to bounce. I loved it anyways, as I didn’t even no what any of those things were at the time.

J R I agree! Though the Porta01 and Porta02 represent the bare minimum in cassette multitracking, they’re still great machines to work with, and many musicians just don’t want to be bothered with too many technical features. And after all, it always comes down to your own creativity....whether you’re working on a Porta02 or, let’s say, a 424 or 644. Thanks for watching!

How are you recording the audio from GarageBand directly into the tascam?
@MultitrackCassetteFans4 жыл бұрын
Matt B Line out of the computer into one of the inputs of the Tascam. Most of the time I use a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 for computer in/out
