Thanks for the tutorials! I followed your instructions for dragging an email from Inbox to the appropriate label on the left in hopes it would take it out of my Inbox. That didn't work for me, so I had to go into the email and actually "x" out of the Inbox label. Wish there were a less clunky workaround. I want to be able to assign a label and then get the email out of my inbox.

That was great. Can I move multiple labels into one new label? I'm able to move them one at a time using edit but it's time consuming because it involves multiple selections and locating the target label by scrolling. is it possible to move multiple files all at once? Thanks!

If you were selling a product and quoting your customers. How would you keep track of the replied emails that you use as the quotes for follow up. Can you use Labels (call it quotes). Hi Robert! Thanks for watching my videos. I'm so glad you find them helpful! Yes, in that case I would create a filter (or label in Gmail) called Quotes. Or, you can get more specific and create one based on the job/bid itself. The nice thing is, you can organize emails however you like!

Pro tip for everyone that she didn't mention. Make sure you click "Also apply filter to matching conversations" when you make the filter so that it automatically labels any old or new emails from a chase robot or google robot for example. Also I'm not sure if it matters, but I added them to my contacts list just to be safe lol

I have a question about gmail. I'm very new to it and on the bar on the left hand side I have all the icons for inbox etc, but there is no text at all. And another issue is that I've created labels and they aren't showing, yet I've gone into settings and they are set as shown, so I'm struggling to find items I've put under certain labels. I think you can just add or remove labels to an email. I know on iPhone gmail app you can actually create, but I don’t think it’s the same for an Android table. If anyone knows, drop a comment!

Hi Tasia, thank you for your helpful tips! How do I access my labels (email distribution list) in gmail from my android phone? I can access no problem in regular gmail (desktop) by typing in the first letter of the label and the label appears in the action address window. But when I do the same on my android phone, the label does not appear so I have to manually input each individual contact address, very time consuming... Regards, Bill

Didn't touch on what I am trying to do. I have set-up labels for group contact for emails. Unfortunately I cannot find where to find all the labels. When I hit the label icon currently it does not show all the labels I have. If I go into Compose and type the label name it will bring it up. Unfortunately this does not let me edit the names in the mail list. I can't even find where to do a search to find the labels. When I try a search it just tells me there is no mail associated with that label. Very frustrating
