Well...I'm a little late...but, nice video! 🤪 I watched your playlist " My Daily iPad Workflow" and I found it AMAZING!!! Why? Well...obviously, it's fantastic...but even more so because of how MUCH I use the iPad. Sidenote (or really sideSTORY...) I had a cycling accident - where I almost DIED - but resulted in me becoming 'disabled.' I WAS a software engineer, but doctors determined I can no longer work due to my TBI. I have found the iPad to be EXTREMELY useful to consume information now. THANK YOU for making these videos and spreading this information! I could go on and on - I tend to be long-winded now...🤪.....but I just wanted to say THANK YOU for sharing this information! And as a fellow tech person - you just flew up on my badass list!!!

Research and tracking is such a good idea. I had literally just finished putting some stuff into Sofa, complaining inwardly (once again) about the tension created just by using the Sofa interface, the time spent looking through the result of searches, and the fact that you’re dependent on the databases it uses. I’ve tried this in Things in the past, and never been happy with my implementation. Your suggestion is so simple, but absolutely perfect. Thank you :-)))

Hey Christopher, first of all: let me express my gratitutde to you: I am learning a lot from your video. I used the iPad as a "toy" (mostly to consume media) but since I bought the Air with M1 chip I am using it more and more to manage my stuff.. now.. I am develpoing this "things 3" taste but also this "fantastical 3 taste"... but there is ONE BIG ISSUE that is preventing me to move forward: they don't talk to eachother.. I saw that ToDoist can be integrated with Fantastical, not so much THings.. since you use both, may I ask how do you use them? Please note that to me the calendar app (any one) is needed to set my activities (any one of them) in a time frame and with a time allowance while the todo list is a detailed view of the tasks that compoeses any given activity (in some case an activity and a task can be the same but it is rarely the case). thanks a lot, keep up the amazing work you are doing

I keep the books / movies / etc in Notion so I can track other metadata, like genre, number of pages, why I want to watch/read this, etc - so if I want to watch something, I can pick, short comedy, or science fiction long book, etc - I find it much better than polluting my task manager, but everyone is different.

I'm constantly torn between Things 3 and Todoist. Things looks way better and feels like it was designed by Apple. But Todoist has so many good features, specifically natural language input in the main input fields and the ability to add attachments. From they are the most compelling reasons to use Todoist.

Thank you so much I am so happy to have seen this! I have been going back and forth between getting things 3 on my mac, I love using it for my phone and apple watch so far and wasn't sure if it was worth it to buy the $69 Mac OS version. I have been trying to use notion but like you I like the idea of it being able to be completed and then removed books, movies, games, shows, restaurants or travel locations. I was trying to use notion just for this but I found I don't go into notion often enough to use it as a task manager since I can't use it on my watch as quickly and it doesn't sync very well with my calendar app.

Quick question, I downloaded your “new task” shortcut, but when I run it - using the Magic Keyboard - it doesn’t allow me to type in the actual popup. Those were some really good tips. I love Things. But I just wish if there was a way to get completed projects from the area removed and archived so that the area doesn't get crowded. For now, I use a separate area called completed and move projects there when done. Not sure if there's a better way to do it. I love the subtasks aka lists. I wish if there was a way to keep them visible always so that they're not hidden under the main task. Thanks for the great video. You have a new subscriber.

hi, thx for this, I’ve been using Things irregularly, but merging it with books to read/ movies to watch is a really good idea. Do you use tags?
