How to swear and curse in Ukrainian but in a tasteful way. Something that teachers normally do not teach in the classroom ;)

In this video, I'll share some Ukrainian swearing phrases that sound tasteful and really authentic. I will show you some creative Ukrainian cursing, that you might meet in Ukrainian movies and books.
During the war Ukrainians swear a lot, which is completely logical, and this vocabulary has become a significant part of the culture, that's why I want to introduce these phrases to you (better me than some uneducated teenager online, hehe)

Not only is this video very useful and educational, it is also highly entertaining😂 I just need to imagine Nika bumping into the журнальний столик and I’ll remember the appropriate swear word😉 I doubt I’ll be using any of these words myself (though you never know) but they are a part of the language and can be heard in movies and elsewhere so I need to understand them. My two supervisors are Ukrainian and when they are angry they say 2 vulgar words so much that I learned to say them but here 🚫 I won't say them. My dad's favorite was шляк би я трафив. When he used that phrase, you knew he was angry and kaka was about to hit the fan. As myself, I like to use curse words even when I am not angry, just to be funny.

Насправді дуже цікаво, що Ви сказали про лайки чи їхні предмети, і як на них впливає культура. Наприклад, в Америці майже всі лайки пов'язані з сексом або екскрементами, а в Данії вони в цілому мають більш релігійний характер, або, можливо, тут 50/50. Я чув деякі з них раніше, більшість перших, але тільки-но Ви повністю розігрілися, Ви досягли незвіданої для мене території. 😇😊😁😁

На жаль так, але історично це слово не таке популярне саме в українській мові. Воно набуло популярності через вплив російської, як і багато інших саме "матерних" слів((

Привіт Ніка..Захоплююче відео. Важливо розуміти лайку в мовою, навіть якщо ви нею не користуєтеся. Я весь час лаюся англійською...але це ніколи не на людину...ніколи в ненависті...(крім Путіна і орків). Проблема лайки іншою мовою полягає в тому, що ви не знаєте ваги чи сили цього слова на місцевому рівні. Наприклад, іспанське слово «cono» у словнику таке ж, як і англійське слово «c..t»...дуже дуже сильне...але в Іспанії в парку я почув, як батько сказав «ven aquí cono» - приходь сюди до його 3-річної дитини. Тому він не такий сильний, і я б часто використовував його в Іспанії.Ви повинні бути дуже обережні, тому що ви не знаєте сил і можете потрапити в біду. Last year I was speaking to someone in Russian about Putin I think and I used the term...жалкий уёбок...(which is justified by the way)...the reaction was shock. 😄

Great video! I'm going to play this one over again till I learn them all. I heard some of these phrases before, from my dad, but some are new. He told me there was one really bad phrase (actually a curse) for when you are really mad or hate someone and that is Шлак трафит-Shlak trafit. Lightning strike, or shlak trafit tebe, lightning strike you! There were many Lightning storms in the oblast where he lived and many people died from strikes including some of his siblings. 😢🇺🇦🫂🖖
