Jelly, I totally understand where you are coming from on the weight thing, but I ended up getting a gastric bypass because I knew it wasn't going to happen for me fast enough and I would give up before I really gave up! At my heaviest I was 547# I am now 126#; and my life is completely different!! Success stories do happen and I totally understand and I adore you and wish only the best for you!!! Come to Lubbock TX so my BFF and I can come see you in concert!!! 100 miles away from home is about all either of us can travel with or health issues! Love you 🎉😊❤ Amy FloydSummerville!

I’m so happy for you that you found a solution to a very hard and depressing way of living. I’m so glad the surgery worked for you too. Unfortunately, a really good woman w a precious soul wasn’t as lucky. She had the surgery and had complications that caused her organs to shut down and passed away. It’s so sad!!

My Dad passed away 5 years ago May 25,2019!! I’m sorry to here that as a dad I try to spend as much time with the kids as I can but as they have gotten older they have there own life but I’ll still be there with my fishing poles when they get ready for me . If you’re ever in Florida I’ll take you fishing

I just want to wrap Bunnie up in a hug! That woman has been through some really awful heavy stuff for what seems over and over and over and over! If I could have any superpower, it would be to take people sickness/and pain! Best interview due to Jelly Roll, I love and respect him to the up most respect, he’s true to himself and to his family and friends. I’d give anything to meet him just to talk with him just on life itself, you have no idea how much he has touched my life with his music and his up bringing, all bc he’s so honest and genuine. They is not a day that I don’t listen to Save Me all bc that song is so me. I am 47 yrs old and with no family around due to my passed and when I say my passed I have been 24 years clean and my family never lets it go and still put me down but want even speak to me. I have no friends I have so much mental health going on due to my passed trauma and due to my family they even turned my own kids against me and I haven’t even seen my kids n prob 5 to 6 years but yet they talk to the man that beat me and left me for dead and even ended up pregnant with my child and they no the story but yet they choose to talk and go see him and my son even lives with him but neither of them would even b here if I didn’t choose to give birth to them and keep them and done best I could but he rapped me with both of them for me to even gotten pregnant bc to b honest I’m a lesbian woman and came out at 17 years old and this man would stock me and kidnap me and I’d go to cops and beg for help and they wouldn’t do nothing to him. He’s beat and even shot all 3 wife’s he was with but they still let this man walk the streets. Every holiday I lay in bed and cry and every time my kids Bday comes I lay and cry since they left I have nobody and I suffer from seizures and anxiety so bad I can’t drive and all I do is sit at home stare at walls can’t find therapy due to nobody wanting to take my insurance or bc I can’t afford $100.00 for 45 mins each session bc I live on disability and don’t even clear 950.00 a month. I want to live but yet they is days I don’t no why bc I have nobody and I’m so dam lonely and forgotten, but only thing that gets me to breathe is hoping and praying my kids will call me again one day and come see me …jelly has helped me with his music so much but as well made me cry bc of how much his songs hit home. I’d give anything to have the grace to meet this man b4 I die, and it’s so crazy to bc my son reminds me of jelly of how his built and etc is …I’m also blessed that Bunnie came about to help jelly recognize his worth and to help him no up to show him the way and he can b loved and excepted …my hats off to both of them! Thank you for the great interview with this man made my day!

New socks is my thing too. I believe it’s a growing up poor item. Wearing socks made from cheap material until they fall apart long after they have became hard from the heat from the dryer or from being hung over the wood stove to dry because the dryer is broken will make you appreciate things in life.

Everyone is different and different solutions work for different issues!! I went into recovery 17 years ago. I used because I was self medicating from chronic depression and deep emotional pain. I’ve always been a very highly sensitive and intuitive person. Because of feeling everything so intensely I was misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder as a very young adult and unfortunately the drs putting me me through trial snd error w so many meds caused me more more problems (however DO NOT TAKE THIS TO MEAN I DONT BELIEVE IN MEDS AND I HIGHLY SUGGEST EVERYONE LISTEN TO THEIR DOCTORS AND TAKE MEDS AS PRESCRIBED) I just wish I would’ve went to therapist back then who would’ve really taken the time to listen and taken time to get to know my situation better because i wasn’t suicidal I was depressed but stil functioning and working at that moment. However, I ended up self medicating because I gave up on trying to find profressionals who wanted to actually listen to get to know me and provide other solutions besides giving me prescriptions for bipolar when later come to find out I was never bipolar to begin with. I’m sharing this message because even though I’m not a doctor. My personal experience I started seeing a doctor and in one visit I explained that I wasn’t feeling myself and was stressed out over pressure from family and I was sad because I just got out of a 5 yr relationship w my first love. However, 6 months prior I felt very happy and excited to be out of the relationship because I now had time to focus more on myself and figure out who I really was. Well that one visit w those small details I was diagnosed e bipolar and Tod I needed to be on a mood stabilizer and antidepressant w it. Ofcourse back then my parents didn’t know any better and were scared and worried to death after hearing the diagnoses. They thought they were doing the right thing by making me take meds I didn’t want to take. Bipolars are known for not wanting to take their meds so my parents thought I wouldn’t take my meds because they thought I had a mental disorder contributing to me not wanting them. Also, because I’m an Aries and love adventure and I was 19-20 yo at time. All my behavior thst was really me just being a young and dumb teenager/adult was all blamed on bipolar too. Now I understood the difference between denial and actually going crazy because everybody is treating you like your crazy is 2 very different things. Unfortunately, this caused me and my family a lot of grief and because I did have unresolved issues s my family from a traumatic childhood. I did end up self medicating after giving up on the medical world and hurt from my family not listening to me. I was depressed and it took years to find in patient treatment for using and for depression. This was even w carrying very good health insurance. Because i was a young single adult woman without kids there wasn’t any programs I qualified for to help me live somewhere like a recovery house or treatment program where I could afford to live there while working on myself and my issues. Not until I was 27 years old and way worse off in addiction and mentally broken down did I finally get the help I’d been searching for. I ended doing treatment and living in a recovery home for a year and I gotta say all these years later. It was the best life experience I could ever have. I followed all the rules and waited the 1 year before staring relationship or making any big life decisions. For the next 10 years I finally felt while inside and out no depression. The first time my whole life I ever felt that normal and happy w a peace within I’d never knew existed. I just thank God I was finally given the oppurtunity to live there and work on myself without anyone coming at me and trying to tell me how to and what to do to live my life. Just the strangers who allowed me to live there and allow me to heal and find myself without everyone eises opinions!! The older man who tan that place was a recovering alcoholic who had over 30 years diversity but his daughter still wouldn’t have anything to do e him because of their past. Therefore he made it his goal to help other females and treat them like he wished he could treat his daughter. I’m in tears right now sharing my story because he passed away about 10 years ago. He saved my life by giving me a chance. Something he had no obligation to do and I was a complete stranger to him. He walked into a detox facility and I stated at him as he walked my trying to figure out who he was and what he did there. As I was staring he turned around and pointed to me and said you come w me. He took me to a table and asked me who I was and what I what I was doing there. I busted out in tears and told him I wanted a chance to live somewhere without being emotionally or physically abused while I wanted to get sober and get my life together. He took me to a beautiful recovery house a week later!!

No I get it i was overweight really bad too and I understand your story. I lived it all too well I was paralyzed for a while, but I got my feeling back but now I’m in a wheelchair and I still get chronic pain really bad so I was on fentanyl to take myself off of it when I went through drawers like how but I did it. I know I’m strong person but yeah Jelly Roll I think you’re doing just fine. You just keep doing what you Gotta do OK thanks.

Hey jelly foll I have lost 125 pounds I'm doing it slow and steady it stays off that way I was 398 the first time I stepped on the scale after my grand. Daughter was born when losing weight I think the key for me was picking one thing I think I can achieve at getting rid of if I don't acomlish it's OK 6 small meals a day is the key and if I crave something like a candy bar I bring one home and the craving helps good luck to you

I weighed 315 pounds then I started meal prepping and working out in a years time I got down to 207 pounds and felt amazing until I messed my knee up having to have my knee replacement surgery, gained alot of weight back and been working hard getting back in to shape other than pear😂
