@@gamesdiecastandtech4669 sunroof is not a dumb feature and no manufacturer is dumb to give us the feature but we become dumb by using it in the way it's not supposed to be used. Sticking out the head from sunroof is extremely dangerous and many people let their kids do this in our country

The latest discovery sport isn’t a different platform, it’s another modification of the D8 platform (noting that’s the fourth major modification of the platform). Decent parellel review of Harried with Discovery sport. I believe there are never competitors, different segments whole together. However there are lot of similarities which you have noted very well in this review. Also, great point of people sticking there head out of sunroof. I was on a road trip last week, there were 2 (so called) SUV full of young men, 2 guys from each vehicles were staging almost half out of sunroof and doing stunts, taking videos and photos. This was scary to watch and also lot of disturbance while driving on a busy traffic highway.

LED headlights sucks! Take it from a user. It's good to blind the incoming traffic. You'll know you screwed up when you are on a highway without streetlights and reflectors. Because of the white light it becomes really hard to know where the road ends!! It gets even worse in foggy conditions. It's like a white wall in front of you!! It looks cool and all but not at all practical.

Dear Mr. Shirish, Kudos to you for this out of the box analysis, very much informative with perfect things to praise and also mention what lacks ! This is the first time I have heard anyone say Harrier's steering wheel is lighter than it ought to be. Mostly people compare it with pseudo SUVs like Seltos or Creta and state that the steering wheel in Harries is heavy. Also, since my expertise and over 30 years experience lies in the field of Design (Photography & Graphic Design to be precise), I must say I fully agree with you that Discovery has far better design concept; looks more sophisticated, more balanced and plush than Harrier. Having said that it is not to undermine Harrier that in itself is an EXCELLENT DESIGN in its own way, more importantly the best till now, in the category it really belongs to. I have been suggesting friends in quite a similar manner (for different cars), guiding people with plus and minuses of a particular car, with another from another segment (though I can't claim that I am an expert in technicalities like you). I am just a pure amateur with a passion for long drives to Hills .......... with an experience of having driven approx. 20 different cars & SUVs (smallest being our old favourite 800) to long distances often (600+ KM in one go, mostly in Uttrakhand Hills ..... Delhi or Lucknow to Tungnath & Munsiari etc.). Some of the destinations have very rough and dangerous terrain so it gives any car a real trial and one gets excellent feel of good and bad aspects. Thanks again for this analysis. Quite an eye opener for many. You rightly explained important things only and so beautifully!! - Dr Bhupesh C Little

Dr Bhupesh C little with the government be new laws around, would you suggest that we keep our near 15 year old vehicle do we sell it! The suspension repair is the only fault, the vehicle goes pretty well. It's selling price is worth s dime compsred to what we bought it at! Given that it's otherwise running well, shall we repair the suspension and continue with it, or sell it at whatever price it fetches

@@anon-kl8tm Dear Friend (anon), First of all I don't want to claim I'm an expert on this and you didn't mention Make and Car model too but from whatever little experience I have I can say that if your car engine is in good condition and is a petrol engine then you may keep it and use for a few years more. As you are aware now the Govt. has fixed 20 years for Petrol engines so it is still safe ti use it. You are right in assessing that in resale you will get pea nuts in money. I would suggest you to use it for another 3-5 years (buy new when you really want) and then finally dump it in junk yard. One on my old cars Maruti Zen 1000 (old top model which many experts considered the best in engine) is still short of 1 Lac KMs and is running well but as it is 2001 model so I can neither use it nor can sell it. Also as there are lots of excellent options coming in 1-2 years I think it is far better to wait for more options if buying is not a necessity right now. I hope this helps you. Regards.

Yes they should do the sunroof as land rover does it. No opening mechanism for glass, plus they should give us the option for electric or manual blind opening and closing mechanism ,it would be soo much cheaper

the harrier may feel like a SUV but it ain't with just fwd. period. until 4wd or a good AWD system comes to it, it just another crossover... also how much do they save by not giving the 2nd row middle seat a headrest..... and the screen looks small cos of the huge bezel around it. like you skipped on the top model or something and got a smaller screen... this video though... top notch

Rover's color is so striking. Tata should've gone with this shade of red instead. But anyway, Harrier is Turu Love☺️☺️

The updated discovery sport is based on an all nee platform that is shared with the Range Rover evoque right? The harrier shares the platform with the pre-facelift discovery sport right?

There is an evident difference in the cabin noise between Discovery and Harrier. The Discovery was much more silent when Sirish was speaking.
