If tata give altroz same battery and slightly low powered motor then altroz ev will surely give ARAI 350+ range or realtime 250km+ range

Due to lesser weight?
@hrishikeshpatil85983 жыл бұрын
@@pluginIndia lesser weight, so due to less weight they can provide less powered motor, tyre width altroz have 185 or 195mm width tyres while nexon have more than 200mm tyre width, and main thing is aerodynamics. For ev aerodynamics is main factor for range, and suvs does not have great aerodynamics.

It is best for Li-ion batteries to stay between 20 - 80% most of the time. Batteries should not stay at 100% charge for hours or days. If you charge to 100% then drive right away and reduce battery level. Going above 80% or below 20% is OK on a road trip but for daily driving you should not need to. It is OK to occasionally charge to 100% to balance the battery and adjust the BMS but this does not need to be done regularly.
@mufaddalrangwala29062 жыл бұрын
This is very true. Keeping Lion-NMC (Lithium Ion Nickel Manganese Cobalt, Ziptron batteries ) batteries at a high SOC is a very bad idea for battery health, much worse than fast charging. I would suggest keeping it even lower than 80%, if you don't need more range. My commute is 30KM -35KM to the office and back, roughly DOD (depth of discharge) is 15-20% max. So I charge to about 40-50%. When I return from work at night I have about 20-30% SOC, I plug my car in, but don't start charging. I have a timer set up so that it turns on the charger 2 hours before I leave for work in the morning, this charges my Tigor to about 40-50% SOC. This way my batteries are at a higher SOC only when required (right before I drive off), not all night long. Modern high-quality batteries don't go out of balance very easily, also if they do go out of balance it takes many charge/discharge cycles to do so. Topping to 100% once in a month or soo (or before a long weekend drive) is fine to re-calibrate and re-balance, but doing this more often is just detrimental and contributes significantly to the calendar aging of the batteries. The advice of fully charging and discharging a battery is valid only for batteries that suffer from memory effect (nickel-metal hydride), not Li-ion. Doing the above practice can extend your life of batteries by 4-8 years, if you keep charging to 100% you will be quite disappointed in the car's range just as the batteries are going out of warranty. Read this study for detailed info. www.researchgate.net/publication/328086745_Extending_Battery_Lifetime_by_Avoiding_High_SOC/fulltext/5bb6cc62a6fdcc9552d3dc53/Extending-Battery-Lifetime-by-Avoiding-High-SOC.pdf

👍👍👍👍 to the TATA nexon ev. Wish it to be under 12 lakhs. 15 lakhs +++ is too taxing for most middle class people.Also Tata should have a smart traveller's charger for people who travels to remote place or villages which can detect meter power ( adjustable)and charge likewise , say from as low as a 1 kilowatt meter to say a 5 kilowatt meter .

@AnoopSinghRanhotra2 жыл бұрын
Below 5 lacs I suppose, buy why sell it? Make it your second car for daily household chores that needs minimum maintainence. Or could get the malfunctioning cells changed, the whole pack rarely needs to be changed. That's what the owners in UK and Scandinavian countries and new Zealand are doing with their 10-12 years old Nissan Leaf with battery degradation of about 30-50% and usable range of 30-50 miles in cold winters on their original 29KWhr battery. It's perfect for daily 50-70km of commute for the wifey's supermarket trip or to the mall. Needs minimal maintenence and service.

Am a Tata Nexon EV owner. Got delivery on 22-July-2020. Have myself driven this car 23000+ KMs till now with more of highway driving. I have been facing problems with the battery of my Nexon EV. Car stops at 12% battery left shown on screen. My car has been towed to service center 3 times for this same bug which they promise everytime has been rectified, but still remains. My car has been towed today for the 3rd time! Some how I am getting this feeling that the battery is defective and Tata Motors is avoiding to replace the same for it's heavy cost. I am actually fed up and now am repenting on making wrong decision to buy a Tata car, would have spent some more and got a Hyundai's Kona which has most experience and expertise on EVs than anyone in India. Car is lying with Puneet Automobiles, Worli Naka, Mumbai, Maharashtra.
