One thing doctors & psychologists teach for people to do during times of pain endurance and/or severe anxiety episodes is to count (numbers) because it distracts the mind and forces you to focus on the task of completing proper numerical sequence. My take on this is to count, but in another language. I am learning French because I love to go to Quebec & numbers are an essential element of learning a language. If you would like to learn another language, learn to count to one hundred (in particular this is important because of the time involved in doing it). During your next tattoo session count ascending and descending in the foreign language at a set pace, such as one number per second. You will be surprised how much concentration it will take & how effective it is in helping you to suppress the pain from the tattoo work. Just a suggestion, but I recommend it because it worked for me. Take care & be safe.

I felt so bad for that girl who got her chest piece completely copied, more so because the comments called her a whiney white girl and selfish because she was upset. It would have been different if it was something simple but something unique and designed just for her should be just that- just for her. I love the sneak peaks of your tattoo so far though! I've heard from one of the artists Ive gotten tattooed from that pain tolerance lessens with age, which I completely get. When I first started getting tattooed 3 years ago, I had a waaaay better tolerance than I even do now. That said, I got part of my lower back tattooed last month and it was hell. I can't even imagine getting my whole back tattooed right now honestly. Kudos to you. My tolerance for lines and shading completely depends on location, I think. Either way, they're both awful. I hate people that act like we have to say tattoos don't hurt or aren't that bad, cause I literally hate getting tattooed so much. Sorry for writing a book woops 😙

The trickiest part of my back tattoo was coordinating my breathing with my artist tattooing so I didn't make any sudden movements while she was drawing a line (my entire tattoo is 9 square inches of very fine black line and dot work). I've got a rib, foot, and back tattoo and the foot one (even though it's TINY) was the absolute WORST to get.

I just got my first tattoo 2 weeks ago, and I only wanted the outlining first, and I wanted it like that for a while, same with my next one on the 23rd. It makes me think that posting a picture of it was bad because yeah, I would hate for someone to steal it and get it themselves considering how I drew them and the idea of them was completely original. But at the same time I love it so much that not sharing it would make me so sad.

katrin's tattoo was indeed completely copied my god. Taking inspiration is something completely different than flatout copying. The most sucky thing about tattoos being stolen is that well.. They are quite permanent, so you can't really be like "can you delete this???" like, that's sadly not a thing :/
@veriidis8 жыл бұрын
Completely agree but the way the girl was bashed I don't think is fair, this tattoo is permanent, she will probably have to live with the horrible feeling she got from obviously a KZbinr she really liked and a tattoo she really enjoyed. Using it was wrong but i feel people got so angey

Hi Qcknd, totally new to your channel an I know you finished this piece but for people reading the comments this may be helpful. When your getting work done on your back and spine and you lay your head down or extend the neck it will make the tattoo hurt worse. This is due to the nerves in your spine are extended with the muscle and they have no "wiggle" room to put it. so when your relaxed and laying down with a pillow it can be less painful. its all preference though, I know some artist like people sitting up. I had a ex get a back piece and he was a physical therapist an this is what he had explained. same goes for if your back is hurting or your lower back, try not to tense of look down it makes it hurt more.

i have just over half my back tattooed. the outline was really hard, i ended up passing out in a pool of drool when she was doing the outlining on my spine. had my second session just recently to do shading and colours and i took two endone tablets - this kicked in fairly quickly , i could still feel the pain but it was soo much more manageable. like i could have gone a few more hours, where as before i was counting down the minutes till i could finish.

My first and currently only tattoo I have is a simple outline (getting colored sometime this year) of a rose on my back with really cool vine like pieces that branch out to my shoulders and the stem goes maybe half way down my spine. Oddly enough, it was more painful on my shoulder blades than my spine which I was not expecting. My tattoo artist (also my step dad which is really cool) didn't think I could get through it in one sitting and I surprised him on that.
@stellaluna43138 жыл бұрын
i have to agree about the back. for my second tattoo i got a lotus flower on the upper center part of my back right on the spine. it was supposed to have color and all this cool stuff but it hurt so bad and took so long that i jusr kept it the outline. will admit this even though it hurt that tattoo is my favorite i have.

My first tattoo is on my left shoulder blade. Like any tattoo, it's gonna hurt. But my shoulder blade didn't hurt as bad as I thought it would. The only spot that really got me 'wiggling' (as the artist put it lol) is when it was closer to my neck. and yes! wiggling the feet thing. Omg i did it too. Kinda distracted me in a way. My piece took two sessions.. first session was outlining and shading (which was about 3 hours) and then the second session was just the coloring. (which was another 2-3 hours... I don't remember.) I plan on getting more when I can afford them lol yours look super awesome!!

i totally agree about hiding your face. When I was last getting my sleeve worked on, my artist had me on my stomach so that my forearm was hanging over the side so she could tattoo the back of my arm better, so I hid my face in my other arm and did my breathing and all that and told myself it didn't hurt nearly as much as I though I did (which actually did help dull the pain a bit to my surprise lol MIND OVER MATTER!!!) , but having your face hidden makes it waaaaay easier
