an odd thing to say, but I really enjoy your zoomed in video shots. They are always very clear and well-lit. Great job.

Ha ha ha, I actually put a fair bit of time into trying to get them half-decent. I wish I had a higher-end camera with a larger sensor to get those realllllllllllly tight shots.
@FullLeadTaco6 жыл бұрын
yeah, I think nobody realizes how hard they are to make--until they try. You usually get a guy holding up a piece of brass and waiting 15 seconds to try to get it to focus with his cell phone camera or whatever... I appreciate those nice clear zoomed in video clips--because I know they aren't easy to do.

I honestly didn't expect to be interested by this video . I was wrong I didn't realize that thing had an integrated adjustable trimmer. that's pretty cool .
@TATVCanada6 жыл бұрын
They also make a version without the trimmer, so you could very well have seen that model before and thought "Meh".

Great video as always!

I have one of these units and I agree that it is a great buy. As far as price, I have seen sets of reloading dies that cost almost as much. Good video!

No regrets on purchasing it, that's for sure.

Nice review I use the Lyman case prep center this frankford is nice it’s a two tool in one
@TATVCanada6 жыл бұрын
Do you find the 'extra' tools on the Lyman useful? I've never tried it myself but it seems like it's an extremely comprehensive setup.
@ocean3746 жыл бұрын
I like it I use the extra tool like the brush also have on it the flash hole tool

Nice review. They are on sale now at midway @ $150 (as of 7/8 21). Just ordered one. Four in one case trim & prep tool does a lot of work & saves a lot of time/hand cramps for the money.

Can't beat that.

I am looking at this and of course the Dillion trimmer. Is it rough on the hand doing large quantities of brass?
@TATVCanada6 жыл бұрын
Not really; if I do a couple thousand my index finger sometimes starts to get a bit sore, but if I'm planning on that many I just wear a golf glove. I would love to try the Dillon but I just can't justify the expense.

Where do all the brass trimmings go ? Is there a dump station to empty ?
@TATVCanada6 жыл бұрын
It's not very obvious from the video, but there are small circular holes bored in the sides of the trimmer. Brass cuttings vent through these, you can direct the flow somewhat by way of a movable plastic cover.

Please show me how you trim a .17 HMR and explain why?
@TATVCanada9 күн бұрын
I don't use 17HMR, but the purpose of trimming is to ensure the brass is uniform in length and conforms to SAAMI standards.
@randalla71066 күн бұрын
@@TATVCanada You do know that 17 HMR stands for Hornady Magnum Rimfire and they are not commonly reloadable?

I have one of these brother .they work excellent ,once you get it set it's a no-brainer. What was the money. PS I bought mine on amazon.com about the best price you'll find

archersfriend does it have enough adjustment to dial in wildcat stuff?
@archersfriend6 жыл бұрын
The only "wildcat" that I have is the 7TCU. It was kinda left in the dust in the 80's. I do not shoot competition any more and that was mostly what I did with the TCU. I did take a deer with it, but that is another story. The collet selections are such that one is likely to fit most anything, but since I do not know for sure, short answer is I do not know.

Does the trimmer work with short cases like 357Sig? Or just rifle cases?
@TATVCanada6 жыл бұрын
I don't have access to .357 Sig so I can't really confirm or deny.

I'm frugal, so I'm designing my own brass prep center based on the Lee Bench Plate Mounting System. The design is being discussed on the Lee-Loader forums. www.lee-loader.com/viewtopic.php?f=84&t=2542
