The singer for TFN is KIN. I've known him in excess of 20 years.... and he's always had an amazing voice.

TTFN are the ultimate GENRE FLUID band (maybe that can be a new class). So many reaction vids to 12 Foot Ninja talk about how different they are. All are correct on so many levels. If you delve into the music from any level; the rythyms, the timings, the genre hopping, the complex music production, the vocal techniques, the videos. All are so 'next level' and a great learning tool for any aspiring muso. These guys are ground breaking.

The song is essentially a Waltz beat which is why it has that mesmerizing feel. 123 123 123. In this case more like 6/8 (123456 123456) In the chorus, the snare drops on the 4th beat of the 6/8 beat (123 snare 56) which is normal but switches to the "3 and" (just before the 4) timing in the verses giving a slightly hurried feel. Awesome, awesome musicianship. These guys are serious musos at the top of their game. Soundgarden was the last band I heard that had the ability to seamlessly do alternate timings (7/8 followed by 6/8 etc) without the average listener realizing something was adnormal.

Right after this came out I listened to their whole discography. I haven't seen all their videos, but I've heard that they are all trippy. Nice reaction. :D

Great review. What a song. Twelve foot Ninja tracks “One Hand Killing” and “Start the Fire” are good next ones to check out.

Twelve Foot Ninja is worth checking out sometime. They too are a four piece prog metal band. Jinjer toured with them in the past and they became good friends. Tati said that when the band asked her if she would sing for them she said yes right away without first hearing the song.

Twelve Foot Ninja is one of my favorites, without a doubt, but you should check out their cover of Huey Lewis & the News. It was so good that Lewis did an interview with them on their channel. Cheers, love.

If Tatiana is in that game, I want it!!!!

Have a listen to the awesome delay on the vocals after "over and out" at 4:12! Also, listen to the major 3rd notes (happy, glory) followed by minor 3rd notes (sad, introspective) in Chorus. Not uncommon but nicely done.

I've seen TFN twice, seeing jinjer in December. I would LOVE to see them on the same lineup. But they'd have to be co-headliners
@jamestalkington63063 жыл бұрын
Also, to reinforce her not NEEDING to growl everywhere she goes, Tati can growl all she wants with jinjer, if she's gonna say yes to features, it's going to be to play around in other genres, and TFN does do a lot of harmony work, Tati would sooner cover 90s pop or reggae than growl on a feature I think.

TFN are probably our (Aussie's) best band at the moment. They are highly underrated. Check out Mother Sky and One Hand Killing, also Long Way Home if you want weirdness.
