When you pull down on safety it is a decocker it activates a safety so it won't fire then , the decocker is to let the hammer down without the gun going off lol

The trigger reset has a double click . you don't have to let it out all the way , but you must let it double click.

I don’t think mine has that. It might’ve been fixed. You should send yours in to Taurus maybe they’ll fix that.

18:55 The safety also acts as a decocker. When you push it down, it decocks the gun. That's probably why it kept misfiring.
@legacy1776sibes

The trigger has a sort of false reset. The trigger clicks twice when reset in single action, if it only clicks once it isn't reset. It has nothing to do with the safety, he just doesn't know the trigger.

@@legacy1776sibes Right but the safety also acts as a decocker. In the video he said his thumb kept hitting the safety. When you push it down, the gun decocks and resets back to double action.
@legacy1776sibes
@legacy1776sibes Жыл бұрын
@@ouroboros313 In order to decock you have to sweep the safety down completely, which moves the hammer forward and puts it in double action. I've shot the TH9 and have rode the safety, it was not an issue. I know someone else who has one and they've never had an issue. Unless the safety is being pushed down enough to decock it won't be an issue with stopping the hammer from moving forward (it doesn't block the firing pin like he said, it blocks the hammer. As long as the trigger is all the way back the firing pin can be hit.)

Wow man!! This has helped me immensely!! I've had the th9 for a few years now and just recently started having the exact same problem you were I thought my gun was broken! But now I've realized all this time I did shoot at first with a different style that's changed with a different gun where I do ride the safety. 3000 rounds to the th9 and never had that problem but I did not ride the safety at that time last time at the range this is exactly what I experienced this really helps me I have been so bummed out thinking the thing was broken!! Now I have an excuse to go to the range tomorrow and have some fun!!! 🤗

You were decocking the gun , lay your thumb in the little thumb indentation on the grip. Also familiarize yourself with the controls and read the manual.

I love my Taurus pistols and currently own six a G2C, G3, TCP, TX22, PT740 Slim and a PT140 Millennium PRO. I have looked for a TH series or even PT800 series and have found none in my area. All my Taurus pistols have been accurate, reliable and eats everything I feed them. Thanks for the video.

I really like mine. Easy grip change etc. only thing it didn’t come with the cleaning bore rod that the case has cutout lol. Nice price for it. After 200 rds , the rear site flew off. Ensure to tighten it and put some blue thread lock on it so it doesn’t happen again lol

It’s way better than my G3. I was sad that the G3 only came in a cardboard box. So sad. My TH9 was first. And yes the hard case is very useful especially for someone who has to fly from time to time.

Get used to the trigger first, then worry about hitting the target later. Shoot a few mags with no targets and try rapid firing and then slow. Repeat: Get used to the trigger before trying to hit a target. I can see that's what I am going to do before I try targets.

Dude, I have the TH and it did shoot left when I got it and had to adjusts the sights, better ammo works better and 124 grn works better. I had over 5,000 rounds in mine then the trigger broke. The gun is good for the money. but if you want better reliability, you have to spend more. Shooting low is snapping the trigger.

The "double click" is because there are two re-engagements of the trigger assembly. One is engaging the firing pin/hammer block and the other engages the hammer sear. It is likely a sample to sample issue as to how audible, or how close together they are. Think of the audible/physical clicks you hear on an original design single action (Colt 1873) vs the newer design with a transfer bar (Ruger Vaquero) where you have an additional click. Like everything else about a firearm, it is muscle memory - release the trigger x amount and squeeze again - imprint. Also.. (and not targeted towards you directly).. Stop using shit ammo to review firearms. Big brand for breakin, then see if it will run shit ammo. At the very least change to different brand ammo before assessing functionality/reliability.. You have a nice place to shoot btw.

so how exactly do you align the sights? the only way i could hit with mine was if i bring the front dot above the top of the rear sight it was hitting so low
@darktrojan00
@darktrojan00 Жыл бұрын
@@blurryface1975 google "combat hold" and you will see what i mean, if you use the combat hold and still experience the isue and you have the pt111 g2 the rear sights are adjustable so try and raise them. Also see if the range officers still have the same issue as you and let em shoot ur gun, cause it might just be you, if not then its time to give taurus a call or get some new sights preferably adjustable for elevation just in case

Keep up the work. That pistol has a false double reset on that trigger. Let the trigger out further. The thumb on the decocker and safety will not allow the hammer to follow all the way through. The Tula ammo has hard primers. Not a good ammo to test a gun with. I have the same gun and it won't do the double click every time. Stop relying on the clicks and just let the trigger a little further out.
