I have a dog that bullies. The type of relentless play shown in the video is what she does. I always call her back (she has an amazing recall) and usually owners tell me it was fine and I shouldn't call her and distract her constantly when she's playing. She was bullied herself a lot when she was younger (I understood later she had silent heats, males would often break up in fights when we were at the dog park and dogs would plain not leave her alone) and actually now she is nervous around most dogs, even (or should I say especially) when she's the one bullying and creating the tension. Even though she's the bully, she's also the victim (she is nervous and bullies dogs AWAY from her) and once they're far enough she'll stop. If they follow her, she will chase them away again, and use her growl and weight to make her point). Unfortunately I have no video because usually I am to busy monitoring and intervening when this happens. When she plays with dogs she knows and are her friends, it's a completely different interaction, or play.

1:53 I have absolutely no clue what was wrong about the clip of the parti Poodle. (-_-;) I only see an excited brown mixed dog and a little bit nervous parti Poodle... Somebody please explain why anyone would be horrified by that clip. Is it because the owner brought a nervous - meaning unsocialised - dog to the dog park? Yeah, that's bad I know, but it's not HORRIFYING. Just alarming. Now if that parti Poodle were being harassed by the two Labs in the other clip, THAT is when I would by horrified.

Dogs on a leash have a need to protect its own space and the dog owner. Dogs off leash behave differently and that's why the only true dog test is for dogs off lead.

We don t have real dog parcs, there are places where we some times are allowed to let the dog off leash , but no dog parcs with fences arround them.. i only wish there were like that here in Holland,

Please be very careful with this woman. I surrendered a Pit Puppy to the Bucks County SPCA in Pennsylvania where this woman is employed. This was a hyper dog, as are ALL puppies. However while in my care, I was able to calm him down....and I'm not a dog "expert." After a few months went by and I did not see my dog posted on their website, I called and learned that Sue Sternberg determined that "Desmond was too hyper." She advised Euthanasia. Sue Sternberg, who's statements on her website are seemingly very snooty and defensive to widespread criticism, is of the opinion that complaints about her are only because she is Jewish. Clearly she has no ability to say, "I was wrong." Could she possibly be any more unprofessional, unethical, uncompassionate and disingenuous? Sue, while watching this video, I noticed that you seem to be speaking rather fast; perhaps you are a tad bit hyper. I think it would be an excellent activity for you to change careers and become a prison guard. That way you will be able to more closely identify and surround your psyche with murders and criminals like yourself. You are NO animal advocate. You are being paid by the BCSPCA to put Pit Bulls to sleep because they are difficult to place. You are not fooling anyone. I look forward to writing my next nationally read blog on you!!!! Hugs, JM

I agree... I didn't understand it either... and when she was introducing the two dogs (the shepherd mix to Smokey?) The leash was tense as the shepherd pulled... I've always heard that when introducing dogs, that is a big no no... that causes tension between the two dogs who are meeting.

on my parking lot, poodle walked by a grand-ma, retriever unleashed, walked by his owner, who let him be dog. 30 seconds : retriever ran onto the poodle, bit him to the throat, poodle died instantly.

The leash handling by this woman is horrible. Shes choking that dog on sliplead until the dog pukes with hard leash pops. This woman definitely understands nothing about dogs, she doesn't like dogs and she searches for reasons to kill harmless dogs. Stop this woman.
