A little trick I have used for years and years when cooking meatloaf....place it on a couple slices of bread on a sheet pan before you cook it. the bread soaks up the grease, and your meatloaf comes out perfect. Just throw that grease soaked bread in the trash when your meatloaf is done.

I make much the same meatloaf. I line the meatloaf pan with two slices of dried bread. (I leave them out to dry on a plate on the counter for a couple of days or inside the fridge to become hard and dry. I add the meatloaf mixture on top of the dried bread in the usual way and bake. These slices absorb the grease from the meat while being baked. The loaf comes out rendered of fat. You slice and remove the bread and discard. Healthier and doesn't have a greasy taste.

I had an example of the friendliness here. Just this past Sunday I went to "The Flying Biscuit" at Lake Sumpter Landing for brunch. (A fun and very popular place, by the way. It was packed on an otherwise quiet Sunday morning.). A piece of paper I had in my pocket with the name and number of my Villages sales agent (not identified by who the person worked for) had slipped out on the floor. I was half way down the block on leaving and the waitress ran down the street and gave it to me. "In case it might be something important" she said.

A few years ago a hurricane (mild) had loosened or blown off some shingles on several houses in our "courtyard villas complex." The NEXT day a group of fellows from the complex went from house to house with a ladder and inspected all roofs. They replaced or repaired every roof that had shingle damage. They didn't ask for payment but would accept actual cost of replacement shingles. They were folks who had been in construction before Village life. Friendly? I'd say so.

We have a lifestyle visit next month, and now I think we'll just enjoy the week away from work and have fun. I'm afraid we just can't afford to live in The Villages with a $10,000 tax bill, on top of a $2,200 a year amenity fee.

If you watched the whole video come you would have heard that our home has attacked bill of under $4000. The home that I shared the notice on is a rather nice home that was a praise for about 600K. There is an app available called "The Villages" where you can punch in numbers and they will show you all of the homes for sale in your price range.

I wouldn't think of the amenity fee that way. I think of it as a $180 a month for your entire family to have access to over a 100 pools, over 50 golf courses, Many recreation centers, bike trails, golf cart trails, and loads of other fun things to do.

Soy sauce 1 Tbsp A-1 steak sauce 1 Tbsp BBQ sauce 1 tsp. mustard 1 egg 1/2 sleeve of Town House crackers or Ritz TOPPING: 1/3 Cup Ketchup 3 Tbsp brown sugar Mix all ingredients. ( except topping) in a large bowl. Mold into a loaf. Mix ketchup and brown sugar to coat over the top of the loaf. The sauce goes on before putting it in the oven. Bake in a 1 1/2 qt. baking dish for 1 hour at 350°. (sometimes I add 1/2 stalk of finely chopped celery and or a packet of dry Lipton onion soup mix). Drain any grease. The HOA fee for those Villages is because there are things covered that aren’t covered in the other Villages. Like the Townhomes- the HOA covers taking care of the outside of the home- painting, landscaping and roof (I am told). There is another townhouse village that is built around a pool and their yard and painting, etc is covered by HOA. Chatham Acres are 5+ acre lots for horse property- the lots alone cost $559,000 then the cost to build home and stables. Not sure what their HOA covers.

I'm sure it will be mentioned on your Thursday show, that the CAR Cruise in is a MONTHLY event.

@@JERRYANDLINDA I mentioned "monthly" for the couple that wrote You about local car shows. It wasn't mentioned in your video that there was a monthly show there in the Villages. Just that this was the 25th anniversary ( that might imply yearly) just wanted to clarify that for them. Will be looking forward to Thursday's video.
