After Meek Mill saying he's not a gangsta and showing his whack hands...if Iggy ain't hip hop, Meek Mill ain't either.
@bfree74979 жыл бұрын
He said that for the judge. He actually did the stuff he rapped about in the past when he was young and dumb. He is still dealing with the after math as we all can see. He's a two time felon. He didn't get that magically. I'm not saying that to glorify it but I'm showing you proof. See I present facts not lame opinions that are drawn out of nowhere. The only reason why ppl like you are making fun of him is because of the Drake situation. Yall are wack for supporting Drake. At least Meek writes all of his raps. Drake can rap but he got lazy because he knows he's hot and Americans are dumb as hell and will accept anything. Meek was in the street battle rapping. He's straightened his life out now and there is nothing wrong with that. He has rap where he has talked about the prosecutor and his situations with the courts and his probation officer. So that's not fake. Why do you have to be a gangster to rap? There's nothing wrong with no longer being a gangster and yes Iggy can rap Idc.

I gotta say this, when he says slim jesus is being "Real" he means he's being honest. Not every single person has to rob/steal/or kill for me to like them, im not a huge fan of slim jesus because his music is garbage, but that's not to say I don't respect him, not every person can be a killer, or a drug dealer. Slim jesus never said he was fake, he said he does not murder/rob ect. There is nothing fake about telling the truth. The genre of music he raps in pretty much makes him talk about the subject matter that he does, it's his preferred style of music to listen to, which inspired him to make music along the lines of what the genre is about. As far as actually doing the things he raps, he's just like 99% of other rappers in that sense, it's probably like 1% of all rappers that are actually doing what they're rapping about. You people seem to like it better when a guy fakes like he's really about that life, as opposed to someone who just comes out and says it, would you rather have a dude lie about what he actually does (most rappers) or have a dude tell you the exact truth. I'd rather not get fooled by a dude like rick ross acting like he's selling coke. And get it straight up. Just my opinion.

@dontaizda19 жыл бұрын
+dimitris bright And how can this guy put so much stock in being "real", but praises people for being "real" about being fake? That makes no sense to me. But maybe it's just me. And that is a problem with some of Hip-Hop. Rappers should NOT be fabricating tales about living the hard life. Be honest and tell the truth. There is nothing more cherished than honesty. Just look at the greats: Tupac, Big, Queen Latifah, M.C. Lyte, Doug E., Slick Rick, KRS one, and the list goes on.

Bro, everybody complaining that rap isn't real but check this out. Why is it that rappers who talk about money get more plays than their other songs talking about real issues. I even experimented with this and it was crazy. My song "Pull Up" where Im talking about getting the car of your dreams got more plays than other songs where Im talking about emotions and here I am like this why rappers are doing this, because they know rap fans like it even if they say they hate it. #ROEO

People confuse their personal definitions of "real/fake" with things like "dope/wack". There is a significant difference between thinking someone is corny because you don't think they got bars like that, versus thinking they're corny because they're white and it seems more like assumption that people feel Iggy is targeted for her whiteness. I've never heard it brought up, but I have heard people say they don't think she can't rhyme like that. What hiphop "is" is very subjective though. You can't really argue that as easily as you can argue who is dope and who is trash.
