Ditto this. Hope you got the best outcome from your meeting. So glad you appreciate just how good Taylor is. Best lyricist of my nearly 70 years and her music touches millions world wide. We’re not wrong about her, she totally deserves our love & respect, her detractors are just mean, jealous, grinches! Love from Annie, in Cornwall, UK🌸🙂

The "1-2-3 Let's go, bitch!" after the Delicate intro is definitely my favorite swiftie chant, in part because it's the first widespread chant that was birthed quite naturally. I also love that Taylor encourages us to do it every time. She's both recognized in posts (mention 123lgb in her eras tour film announcement) and following along during performances (eg. holding up her fingers along with 1-2-3 and just overall showing how much she enjoys the rebranding of the term bitch in her lore). Also, the delicate echo is a reference to the song on streaming / og record where there is that echo. As for the Delicate / reputation title confusion, reputation is actually the album that Delicate is on (Track 5), so you probably just mashed them together in your head. There is an acoustic version of Delicate on spotify you can listen to, not at this venue, but in the Tracking Room in Nashville (along with a cover of "September" by Earth, Wind & Fire, she changes a few lyrics though).

Speaking of swiftie engagement, when she sings Exile on the Eras tour, which is a duet with Bon Iver, the crowd sings Bon Iver's lines.

I love how you were vibin -- literally bouncing and you looked like you were holding back that winning grin. Have you heard NEW ROMANTICS? I'd be so interested if you'd love it -- it's such a diff sound and most non swifties don't even know it's her. I wish she'd put a whole album out in that vibe. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on Tortured Poets -- it'll be here in 7 days and 2 hrs! 😆

So Delicate has a Swiftie thing where along the timeline during the Rep tour the fan base decided to scream 123…Let’s go B*tch. And Taylor loves it and leaves room for it and also throws up fingers to count it on all of the subsequent tours where she’s played it 🫶 love your reactions. If you haven’t yet go to a TS concert

One of my fav Taylor songs
@calliea33369 ай бұрын
In your defense, “Delicate” is “the reputation song,” in my head, too, because the lyrics “my reputation’s never been worse, so / you must like me for me” are the ones that really stick with me. Of all the songs on Reputation that address her reputation in some way, this one feels like the best representation of the theme of the album as a whole, to me. Thanks for respecting her range, btw. I was so insecure when my voice changed to mezzo, because I had internalized the message from our culture that the soprano voice is the standard and superior (how are we supposed to feel when mezzo-soprano literally translates to half-soprano?), but seeing what a great performer Taylor is and realizing we have the same range helped me get out of my funk and back to loving singing.
@wrighteousj9 ай бұрын
Love this
@michellebenincasa68728 күн бұрын
Everyone gets flack for their voice type and range, no matter what it is. I was a coloratura soprano with a range that went about 5-6 octaves, and I could belt like a mezzo. My voice at its highest end of the range could hurt people and confused pets. I soloed at graduation in a cathedral unaccompanied, without a microphone. I was the harmony section of my choir (just me vs. 15 other voices). Yes, I got credit from some, but some people couldn't take the range and power and assumed I had an ego about it, so I was hated like a diva even when I didn't ever act that way. You do you. Sing because you love it and let haters hate. Real musicians respect talent and work ethic. People hate when I sing along to heavy metal, but I love it, so I do it anyway. There have been many times i have wised for a lower, more typical voice. This is the one i have for a reason. So i use it. I know that multi-part hamonies were written on purpose, so you and i can sing together and sound beautiful, complementing each other's best work. Work on your stuff your way, and you will find others to sing with and an appreciative audience to listen. Everything will sort itself out.

The friendship bracelets the fans came up with because You are on your Own Kid mentions friendship bracelets. After Christine McAfee passed away,Stevie was getting an award she thanked Taylor when accepting it for writing " Your on your own,kid" because it made her realize she was going to be okay. Over a decade ago Stevie gave Taylor a doll (Barbie type) of herself and wrote something on it. That's pretty cool.
