Government is not efficient at anything they do, ever. Government is the biggest, most bloated waste of money and time there is. Government has no incentive to focus on the best, cheapest way to do something. It’s because they are buying something for someone else with other people’s money, it’s the most disconnected you can be from accountability. We should never look to government to solve our problems. Charity & ground support is always best managed by people in the community close to the ground. We would be in a much better place if we stopped looking toward government to fix our problems, if they stopped taking so much of our money in taxes and we were able to use the extra money they weren’t stealing from us to give locally to support our communities. Big government is never the answer.

I love her so much. She’s incredibly generous and as a long history of donating money since her early music days. Every single city she’s played in during the eras tour so where has received donations. Some songs she’s written have had tthe proceeds donated to whatever the song was about (welcome to New York - went to public schools in NY, Ronan - went to a cancer organisation (this song WILL make you bawl your eyes out, you’ve been warned) and you need to calm down - to LGBT+ rights). I don’t know how much in total she’s given to U.K. food banks but after her tour last year which made her a Billionaire to the tune of about 1.3 BILLION in her net worth, Swift gave her tour crew bonuses totalling 55 million dollars. Do you know what percentage 55 million dollars is out of 1.3 billion? About 4%. For comparison that’s like if Swift was worth the equivalent of someone earning the U.K. average wage (£29,999 approximately) giving just over £1. That is how rich a billionaire is. And I’m pretty sure she hasn’t given the U.K. foodbanks anywhere close to 55 million dollars.
