They both have accomplished so much. Beyoncé was always synonyms with success to me and she was obviously already a well established artist when Taylor started, but even in the beginning of her career Taylor was able to compete with her to some extend and it is really impressive how she is now even able to outsell her. But not really surprising considering what an impressive brand Taylor has build for herself. She has been one of the most defining artists of our generation and was able to maintain relevance for over a decade and it looks like she will continue to do so.

Fearless was obviously a huge success, but Taylor was still a teenager and a newcomer. Imagine how well an album as good as speak now would perform if Taylor released it now (as a new album I mean), but she didn't have that kind of power back then. From what I can tell Beyonce did. I also don't think someone like Olivia Rodrigo is fully able to compete with the main pop girls of our time, despite her breaking countless records and winning one award after another, simply because right now she is just a trend and while I think she has a great career ahead of her we will have to wait for more of her projects to see if this is true. To me Taylor was in similar place during fearless, that's all. Taylor didn't stay a trend, she became a legend. Good for her. And good for me because I am literally obsessed with her and idk what I would be doing all day if my life wasn't so consumed by her existence.
