Agree! Was fitted for a SIM2 Max in 2021. Bought into the Qi10 hype and purchased a head only to use on my “Custom fitted” shaft. I did not need a launch monitor to tell me that the SIM2 Max was superior in distance and quality of strikes. Cut my loses and put the Qi10 on eBay. I also agree with an earlier comment about the Ping G400 Max driver. Great driver….very high used prices, however.

Thanks for the comment and great to hear the sim2 max is working for you so well. You are right about the ping G400 Max it has kept its value very very well. Also you can pretty much get the G410 so the model up for the same price in the used market.

Went from a 10.5 degree M1 regular flex to a Sim2 max 9 degree stiff shaft. I can't see myself upgrading anytime soon. Ive never been more consistent with driver. Love the Sim2 driver and 3 wood.

That’s great. Just shows you how good the sim2 max is. 👍

I own both sim 2 and Qi10 core model. For some reason I can hit the qi10 a lot better, not sure if I prefer the look which in turn makes it easier to hit or what but I love it
@Acsgolf5 ай бұрын
That’s great. That’s the thing about golf if you find a golf club you love then keep it. In your case it can be a brand new one, for others it can be an older one. But whatever works, works!

When adjusting the loft down, the face opens, while when adjusting the loft up, the face closes, so the results are not a fair comparison.
@Acsgolf12 сағат бұрын
You are correct. I unfortunately couldn’t get my hands on the same lofts. However I still believe the settings were close enough to be a fair comparison to show that the sim2 really does hold its own against the Qi10. I’m not the only one to do a video like this that shows that the difference between brand new drivers and the previous generations is barely nothing. This is shown by tour pros using older models from time to time. 👍

So you’re saying if I’m looking hit my ball lower I should go to the Qi10?🤨. Cuz I currently get like 140ft height which is no bueno
@Acsgolf3 ай бұрын
I did find the qi10 to come out a bit lower. With the height you are getting which is huge, it may be worth getting a low spin model, such as a Qi10 or an older model like the sim. They will be lower launching and will be lower spinning so won’t balloon up to 140ft! Only problem with going for the LS models you will loose some forgiveness.

Bought a Sim2 Max a few weeks back. Good club, not sure it goes any further than my Ping G400 Max though. Mine was £250. Have they put the price up?
@Acsgolf5 ай бұрын
From what I was looking at the price has gone up. So you ve managed to get an even better deal. Given that for you the performance is similar to your G400 max are you going to stick with the sim2?
@jimwocha49495 ай бұрын
@@Acsgolf I'm sticking with it for now. I prefer the sound and feel. Not sure it's as forgiving as the Ping though

Haha yep it’s not pretty. But due to years of rugby and being pretty broken, it was thought up in some lessons and has worked well so far. Working on the flexibility a bit at the moment to improve the movement. But as they say if it isn’t broken don’t fix it! 😂

Driving distance for all golfers has stayed around 220 yards for a long time. This implies that most late model pro line drivers will deliver about the same performance as a brand new driver.

New drivers are focusing on high moi now. You won't be punished so much by not hitting in the sweet spot nowadays
@Acsgolf5 ай бұрын
Couldn’t agree more. I think there is a point with all manufactures where they have nailed it and find it hard to improve since. Ping i would say the g400, taylormade m2, Callaway the GBB epic and cobra the F9. 👍 any of them would do well against brand new drivers this year.
@Acsgolf5 ай бұрын
@@jackychuang4692 you are right, however there have been high MOI drivers in the past such as the Ping G400 max with an MOI of 9,900. So a some of the older drivers will perform just as well as the modern ones regarding MOI. I think what companies are trying to do today is get the MOI high like before but get the club to be low spinning. As for faster swings speeds that was the issue with the G400 max it span quite high. However the right shaft and loft can help that. However for your average golfer it does not affect them.

Yep the price for brand new callaways, taylormades are huge nowadays. And the thing is they are not even $200 to $300 dollars better than clubs from say 2019!

Not a fair test... hit a 9 degree on both drivers with no changed settings...
@Acsgolf2 ай бұрын
I agree it would have been great to have got both 9 degrees head however unfortunately I didn’t have access to a sim2 in that set up. However having the difference as only .25 degrees and the same shaft in both, I believe the results between the two was fair as only a very very small difference. If I was having one set at 9 and the other at 10.5 then I would agree that it’s not completely a fair test. Also remember this is from my perspective, other golfers using different shafts may have different results. The one thing that I really want people to take from this video, is you don’t need to buy brand new to get a great driver that really does perform as good as the new ones, due to the fact the technology cannot take leaps and bounds due to the regulations set up. This is shown by the fact that not all tour players use the brand new models each year, because they now the older stuff is just as good. You’ll find that the main reason a lot of them due change is because they are contracted to do so.

You’re a day late and dollar short Rick did this a month ago with HIT studio
@Acsgolf5 ай бұрын
You are right, but as mentioned in the video he put the Qi10 max against the sim2 max. The Qi10 max should be against the sim2 max D. As that would be the most forgiving drivers in the range against each other. The two clubs he tested the sim2 max would always win as a built to be a longer driver. That’s why this video of the sim2 max and Qi10 against each other is a fairer test as both middle of the range drivers, as in built for distance and forgiveness. 👍
@jeffs.87733 ай бұрын
I've watched both videos. A.C.S. hits more like a regular player. Rick swings very fast, so his comparisons don't always help ME. For example, the new T.M. Mini Driver sucks for sub 100mph swing, but faster swings make that club a rocket!
