Thomas Sowell wrote a book in 1995..."The Vision of the Anointed". This term he uses does NOT refer to God, instead he's talking about the political elite, writers, thinkers, politicians, activist, etc... that think their world view is the only view that matters and they know better than anyone else, even though the evidence normally shows they are wrong most of the time. I've been following Thomas Sowell for almost 40 years now, you won't find a better person to explain the issues and his writings. The left wing hates him because they could not win a debate against him when he was younger, and had facts and statistics on his side...while the left used emotions & feelings to get their point across. Walter Williams is another great man to follow his past work and died in 2020.

The "anointed" are those that are considered elites, either by themselves or others. The elites believe because they have arrived to status, they should tell everyone else how to live; smarter than everyone, so they know better than anyone; and too instrumental to be replaced.

Yeah, having read the book, Sowell is talking about a certain group of self-important politicians who see themselves as "the chosen ones" which will lead the hopeless group of sheep known as humanity into a better future for at least their sake and not necessarily the whole of humanity's benefit. The point Sowell is making is that these politicians don't have to use law to bring this about; it happens far more naturally than most would expect. This actually still proves the comment made outside the reviewed clip.

Young people today say they can't afford a house, while they buy $1,500 mobile phones, eat out 8 times a week, get their hair and nails done, wear the latest fashions and drive cars they have loans on. I moved out at 18 in 1980. Northeastern Ohio was in a DEPRESSION, and I still made it, bought my first house 7 years later...single. Again, don't watch what comes IN, watch what goes OUT. Good luck!

When he says "anointed", he's talking about those people that have the approval of the left and are in positions of social power (Hollywood, politicians, university professors, writers, etc.). He's saying that they use social virtue points to become anointed like a priest in a church would. Instead of being anointed to do the Lord's work, they are anointed as shepherds of society, and we are the sheep. They, themselves, and the other liberals (not all, but generally speaking) think that they know better how our lives ought to be run than we do. At least, that's the implication of their policies, words, and deeds, whether they recognize it or not. By the way, you're right about Love coming from God, brother.

who are the anointed? If you follow Sowell you understand that he references "the anointed". He mentions in this clip that they are the intelligentsia. These are the people that most would consider "educated" and therefor qualified to make decisions for the masses. Politicians, college professors, writers, business leaders, various other figure heads. These elites believe they know better than you do how you should operate within the world, and that they know better than you what is best for you. The anointed decide who amongst themselves can also be considered "anointed." Sowell is incredibly intelligent and insightful. He would never be accepted into the circle of the anointed BY the anointed because he takes no sides. He looks at facts and makes observations. The anointed need a skewed validation.

I know that many people have been praying for him to get truly saved. Especially is he is in his 94 years old now. He’s a brilliant man with a much truth to offer. He used to be a liberal left wing Democrat until he did his own research/investigation. You would do well to explore his other videos.
