Oh wow... I am extremely excited to see the tour. Maybe in future you can do a video showing the day to day on the Koi farm. Heck, maybe a video, longer format, about being a judge!

You should make a video on medaka rice fish, they're like mini koi.

Koi Enterprise has quite a collection of Medaka growing, too! Several tubs of beautiful colors.

Excluding the fact that this is relative to every situation, I understand that it could or could not work in any situation as all fish are different , I want your thoughts on putting my tiger barbs in with a jack dempsey and electric blue acara , in a 75 gallon, right now the barbs are in a species only 55, I want to shut the 55 down, lemme know ur thoughts , and thanks

Zenzo I think it is only responsible to explain to potential new koi keepers the massive filtration these fish need to be healthy. They get big which you did mention but they greedy, descructive and poop a lot so filtration really needs to be up to the job. Cheers

I run my koi pond using a bog filter that's about 10% of the volume size of the pond. Converted an old planter that I had laying around. It's powered by a 20W pump. That's it! I keep plants in there and have a gravel base for additional media.Water is gin clear. A lot of people like a sterile environment powered by massive filtration, but I don't think it's necessary. The Japanese raise them in mud ponds with minimal filtration. Koi are as hard as nails mostly and do well if not overly messed with.

I'd love to do a pond of any kind; however, I think all of my fish would get picked off by eagles, bears, big cats, raccoons, and all of the other woodland critters. I think it would be like opening a smorgasbord for the wildlife...lol

My yard is full of predators! I wish I could have a pond. Over the years,I have seen raccoons, weasels, pine martens, bears , and a ginormous barn owl staring at my Italian greyhounds. A pond is only a dream.

Maybe a raised pond near the house might work. Bears are tough one though...I don't have a solution for that.
