Food on Norwegian Encore | Part 2

Going on the Encore March 2024. Glad to see that the Garden Cafe and The Local are just as good as on the Bliss! Cagney's is a favorite of mine (always medium rare!) but find that the Teppanyaki is so loud, it gives me a headache, but the food is very good. Overall, the only so-so meal I've had on any NCL ship was at Ocean Blue.

One of my favorites is the Indian buffet changing every day, Garden cafe always a favorite. And getting fresh squeezed orange juice for $3 is a super bargain. Going again on the Encore, 7 days to Alaska from Seattle late September..

Other than the bleu cheese on the buffalo wings it seems we have very similar tastes. We are booked on the Encore August 2021, so these videos were very insightful. Thanks for posting.

Cruising the NCL Encore for 21 days in less than two weeks. We will be staying in the Haven. NCL is our favorite cruise line. We also like the local for a change. We love the wings also. Jeff & Neil

enjoyed these videos.we are on the Encore in september to alaska. we did the breakfast at o'sheehans THE LOCAl everyday.the last day we ate at taste and loved it for breakfast. we would have lunch at the buffet. pizza, salad,fish or chicken fingers were our favorites.cagneys was our favorite speciality restaurant.did not like la bistro

We actually did eat at Onda on our next cruise on the Escape (no video yet). We did enjoy it. We will likely be trying Los Lobos on the Joy when we sail in February. Thanks for watching!

Norwegian specialty dining package is not so special anymore ever since they added the up charges for several of the items at Several of their restaurants it's nothing more than a money grab a year-and-a-half ago there were no of charges at the specialty restaurants

Yes, we noticed several upcharges on the menu for certain items. Unfortunate. The cruise lines like to keep finding ways to get more of our money. Thanks for watching!

Wow. Between this and part one, I am *not* looking forward to the food scene on my October sailing to Alaska. RCL seems to be way better in terms of food than any of the rest of them. I’ve done only Princess and RCL so far, and was looking forward to seeing how Norwegian does food. Thanks to this video, my hopes are very very low. Whether you’re talking specialty dining or included options, Princess was horrifying in terms of food. EVERYONE on board complained that whole week. I’m hoping since this video was uploaded that NCL has upped their food game. Otherwise, I’m staying loyal to Royal 👑 👌

We have sailed on NCL’s Bliss, Encore, Escape and Joy so far and are going on the Escape again later this year. I will say that it is hit or miss with the food. In general I think we like the food better than the main dining room on Royal. But with that said Honestly I think it goes by ship. We have had better experiences on certain ships within the fleet. I do think the Speciality dining is the way to go though on the NCL ships. We decided to get a 6 night specialty dining package this December on the Escape. I think we have better luck with those meals as a whole. Are you sailing on the Bliss or Encore ? I think we liked the Bliss’s food better in general but this was the Maiden Transatlantic sailing on the Encore so it was a very new ship and crew..
