This was the first LP i ever saw of SBFP, and it was this and their LA Noire that i used to fall asleep to. So this is very comfortable for me to watch this. Also, 2:34:30 is the exact moment Majima ruins the Japanese Economy. It's canon, he did it.

That's true. This is why I personally wouldn't mind having a Yakuza game that takes place immediately after the events of 0. In order words, have it take place in the early 90s, right before the beginnings of Yakuza 1/Kiwami. It would be nice to see how their relationship was formed.

@SorcererOne i mean the story is also shockingly meaningless while also being a terrible retcon of how kiryu and majima were both intimately involved with the creation of the millenium tower yet never mention it once and makoto is a huge loose end even ignoring the stupid plot twist that tachibana is her brother and tachibanas underling raped and enslaved her. like jesus fucking christ it almost made yakuza 2 look like citizen kane.

You know what's stupid? So many characters get ventilated multiple times by a gun in this game and then, shockingly, keep living. It's beyond absurd, at least it seems so but GSW's from pistols are very survivable if medical help is administered quickly. This is according to the FBI Handgun wounding report which you can find free on gundata. It's an interesting read, kind of a scary read too because they detail many cases where perpetrators continued coherently attacking officers with lungs and heart completely destroyed for double digit seconds on pure adrenaline.

People grow apart :/ Just a fact of life. It's kinda sad, but if you really listen to their tones of voice you can kinda hear how much their personalities collided with each other's at certain points. Pat also had this habit of making weight jokes about himself, but for some reason would always include Matt in some way ; "Hey look its me in a couple years...or Matt in slightly less time!". If there were a lot of jokes like that outside of TBFP from anyone I can totally understand the separation.
