Nice touch on the lifter. I see you blended the taint too. That sticky area between the tube and the chamber is rough and shells hit it causing slow loads.

The LOP was too long for me so I got the Magpul SGA adapter from MOAPrecision and the M2 extractor/spring combo. The Leupold QRW 7400/7600 base is lo-profile base if going w/red dot. Good job on mag well.

Hi TCody88. Great Video, thanks for posting! I just picked one of these up, and the first thing I noticed was the first thing in your video - the buttstock. This has been a pain for me and gets hung up every time I try to shoulder the Stoeger. What did you use to trip your corners off? A knife or saw? Sanding? This is a huge comfort point for me, but I want mine to come out looking nice like yours.
@Tcodyw88
@Tcodyw88 7 жыл бұрын
Michael Leahy for the best results a belt sander is the way to go. I didn't have one so I just used a razor to get the bigger sections and sand paper to round the edges. But I have replaced mine with the kickeez one and it's pretty nice and comes with round edges

How did you bend the lifter? I just opened my loading port up and can see their benefit of bending the lifter. I don’t really want to install the Taran Tactical lifter. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for posting this. I was thinking of bending the lifter as well. How did you go about bending it that smoothly?
@Tcodyw88
@Tcodyw88 8 жыл бұрын
I took out the trigger out and and used the vise with soft jaws on it and spaced out two bends to make a long smooth curve. The real goal is to to line the lifter up with the shell tube so the shells hit nothing else on the way in
@seowitz
@seowitz 8 жыл бұрын
Yah, I noticed when unloading the last shell from the magazine it would get caught up in the magazine sometimes since the angle of the lifter is just a little too steep. I was hoping opening up the port a bit more was going to take care of that but it didn't. I was thinking about a bend in the lifter, or possibly grinding a little where the lifter rides the bolt carrier. Did you happen to polish out the inner edges of the end of the slot in the lifter too? I just noticed the shells will catch a little at the end of the groove on my M3K. Also one other thing, any chance you could measure out where you put the two bends?

+tcodyw88, did you remove the mag tube before you cut it back enough to expose the first shell in the mag, or did you cut into the mag tube as well?
@Tcodyw88
@Tcodyw88 7 жыл бұрын
Andrew Bradshaw I left the mag tube in because I also removed a small amount of it as well. BUT BE CAREFUL not to remove to much of the receiver in front of the mag tube, because the receiver stops the follower from coming out of the mag tube.

How did the benelli extractor and extractor spring help?
@georgeanderson9819
@georgeanderson9819 6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the great video. I used your work as a model upon which to base my own modification. But I am having a problem getting the shells into the magazine. At 4.04 you show the opening of the reloading port. My question is.. The magazine traveler (? Think that is right the spring loaded plug in the magazine) is kept from leaving the magazine by a very slight ridge at the end of the magazine. It looks in the frame at 4.04 like when you opened the port, you removed some of that rim. Am I right? If so, how much can I safely remove?

Just picked up the M3k and checking out your videos. Question on the HIVIZ from sight. How do you remove and install? I'm assuming under neath the light tube on the original is a micro screw? Also, I've ordered the MOA ext. tube, follower, double sided safety. Any thoughts on the TTI lifter MOA sells?
@Tcodyw88
@Tcodyw88 8 жыл бұрын
The factory fiber optic unscrews as a whole. On the HIVIZ sight the light tube is removed using the supplied tool. The HIVIZ comes with several different screws for different shotguns. Find out which one you need and medium lock tight after you decide your happy with its location. I personally like the m3k lifter better but it needs to have a small bend or "curve" put on it, so that it lines up perfectly with the shell tube and quadloading will be MUCH smoother.

Thanks for posting all the part numbers. What kind of front sight came with it? I thought it was already a red fiber optic.
@Tcodyw88

Great question! It's comes with a very large red fiber optic dot that can some times be larger then the target when shooting slugs past 20 yards since targets look smaller at farther distances.

some more questions, what did you use to file the butt, loading bay, and trigger notch? what rear sight does this have?
@Tcodyw88
@Tcodyw88 8 жыл бұрын
For the rear butt pad put it in a bag freeze so it becomes firm and use a belt sander to shape it. Cutting the loading port and trigger guard I used a dremal with a sanding wheel. (Don't cut to close to the shell tube because the reciever holds the follower in the shell tube.) No rear sights are available for this so it need to be millled into the ribb I used a XS brand rear sight.
@Burdette305

Can you explain the rear sight milling more? I've heard XS is the best one.

I couldn't find another video about the extractor switch. I would like to do that as well because my M3K is picky with ammo. Do you have some more info or a walk-through on that? Also could you post the Part Number for the Hi Viz front sight? Thank you for this information. Not a lot of info out there about these guns but they are great for the money. Looking forward to running my first 3 Gun match with mine.

TCody88, I have a 12 ga Charles Daly KBI with a missing extractor, I can not find a extractor for this Breech/Bolt Numrich, Robertson TP and all others no luck. Because the Daly's were influenced by the Italian made shotguns I was looking for a used extractor to see if it would fit. A gunsmith mentioned to me that this may be an alternate to get my gun working again. So... do you still have the Stoeger extractor and willing to sell. Let me know!

Hello! Do you still run this gun? If yes, how many rounds went through it? I'm considering to pick up stoeger m3000 (since M3K is not available in Ukraine) for competition shooting. Is it correct that Benelli's tuning parts, such as shell carrier, safety/bolt release buttons also fit to Stoeger, as that extrator does? And one more question - did you polish the mag tube to make inertia system work more smoothly?

What sling mount option are available for the m3k? I read that it's pretty similar to the Benelli M2, will accessories for the M2 fits with the m3k? I'm looking at the GG&G front and rear QD sling mount they offer for the M2, do you know if this will work with the Stoeger m3k? Thanks

Great question! I'm not sure. I'm trying to find a better answer for you. But stoeger sells a sling that ties through the hole on the stock and ties around the extension tube.

Have you had any trouble with shells releasing from the tube when you load to max? I have a +8 and I can not get them to load when I put more than 8 in the tube. I have taken an 1 at a time off one new spring can got it to the point it will not load a single shell. And ideas on how to get the long tube to work on the stoeger? I have polished the catch but it still will not release the shells when it is fully loaded.
@Tcodyw88
@Tcodyw88 8 жыл бұрын
No I've never had that issue. Are you still using the factory plastic follower? If so it might be causing the problem. I'd also take the end cap off and be sure that the shells slide freely through the shell tube with out any issues.
@davidfarber2210
@davidfarber2210 8 жыл бұрын
+Tcodyw88 No, I am using the Nordic components low drag follower. I took it apart last night an it appears that the long tube is not treaded as far up than me old tube and is not screwing all the way in to the nut and is rough at the joint. I worked on changing the bevel on the end of the tube and it did make a difference but not reliably. I will keep working on it and see if I can get it to blend into the nut threads.

CRFHONDARIDER100 on the stoeger m3k model the charging handle and bolt release are oversized and colored from stoeger. You can buy any color from MOA precision. And the red follower is an upgrade you can purchase from anywhere. Some stocks are plastic so they upgrade to a aluminium and it's usually red. Hope this helps.
