Defender 2.2 Stage 1 Remap - Alive TD4 Puma dyno tuning

It's been 9 years almost to the day since Alive first tuned my puma 2.2 110, and even then the drive home was a welcome revelation. The 'Signature 150' that I had done just made her a lot more easy to drive and live with on a daily bases. I have since had the bigger intercooler etc.. and now with the ATRIC running a nice 'stage 2' tune, and IMO I can now if I'm feeling childish hassle the daily traffic let alone keep up with it. From a happy customer I'll echo stu's comments in the Vid. Keep up the good work. 💪

Really enjoyed your video. I currently drive a Skoda Fabia 1.9 TDi VRS with a Stage 1 remap. I was amazed to see the very strong 4th gear pull from 20mph in the Landie - similar to my VRS but astonishing in a Defender 90! So impressive!

does a stage 1 on puma 2.4tdci make fuel economy worse or better

We posted a brand new video just yesterday about the 2.4, and that shows how the low end torque is greatly improved, which helps save fuel. This was a stage 3, but stage 1 also gives immense gains to low end torque and that’s key to improving efficiency. Go and take a look! 👀👍

All Alive Tuning software is developed in house, over many years. We’ve owned every LR engine type from 1999 to 2018, for at least two years each, and we totally understand how they all work. The founder of Alive, Gary (me!), works remotely nowadays and all Alive Tuning files are sourced exclusively from him (me!). very cool... we have a black 2.2 90 just like that and it has always smoked, even at idle! Unfortunately we are on the other side of the planet. Anyone know what brand the side air intake vent is?

Our ATRIC remapping system will allow us to fix the issue with your 2.2, which absolutely should not be smoking at idle! Let’s hope the injectors haven’t been damaged? 😮 As for the air intake, I don’t know. What I do know it’s that the original air intake is okay, but can become choked with a raised air intake
