@@chrisupton6190 I don’t think MWZ is inherently a bad mode, but I think it just completely lacks the soul of Zombies and doesn’t have much replay-value. It’s basically just a mindless grind machine and once you finish the missions and get the schematics (which is a repetitive and RNG-filled grind), there’s really not much else driving me to want to play more 🤷🏻‍♂️ Obviously Vanguard isn’t good either, but I believe Warzone affected all of these modes more than we realize. Cold War Zombies did it the best but still has tons of issues, and most of those issues also go back to Warzone’s existence (and lack of resources put into Zombies)

I feel like streamers ruined CoD Cheaters and hackers in the twitch and KZbin community have ruined the game They have influenced people to do whatever it takes to win and those wins came via hacks and cheats And those are the people who have turned the game into something that's not fun at all I don't purchase bundles on the game except on warzone 2 I purchased the OG Ghost operator because it's the best character ever Even though he died in WW2 2009 he's still the coolest I don't like the direction CoD is going and I feel like this current title is going to be the last one I play Can't wait for XDEFIANT to get released

I think that Fortnite just honestly does the battle Royale genre better. I mean They have cool skins that you will actually see because the game is in the third person and It doesn’t make Sense Having Unique skins in call of duty since the game Takes place in the first person, so you’ll Never see it and only the people that kill you will think “oh he actually bought that skin”. The worst part about Cod trying to have cosmetic is that they eventually become useless like for example in Mw19 and Cold War They aren’t even update Anymore so it feels like you wasted your money. Fortnite never goes to a new game and stays at that game so you keep all your cosmetics Making buying them actually worth it. Me and my mates used to play dom/hard point on MW2019 - was awesome. Things turned sour when WZ came out. Some of the crew got way too sweaty orientated, only played shipment to level new guns. Group fell apart and no one plays together anymore. WZ ruined more than just CoD.

Trouble is, it looks to me as if you don't like/aren't interested in Warzone, then COD feels more like table scraps. I do hate how they're tying plot critical narratives into Warzone, "Oh what's that, you want to know this character is alive but didn't play Season 5? Lol 2 bad idiot, we're not explaining!" - A good story should be able to stand up on it's own, not leave people in the dark because they missed a side piece. I feel the best way to sum up is that swimming pool meme, Warzone is the child being looked after, Multiplayer is the drowning child, Campaign is the drowned skeleton.

Most of these didn't really bother me except the whole taking a section of the Warzone map and turning into a MP map. If I remember correctly, a lot of the launch maps for MW2 were just sections of the Warzone map, then most of the seasonal maps were as well, and it just made me so mad how lazy they were. I would rather play remastered OG maps then that. I'm glad this changed for MW3. It feels like Sledgehammer has been doing things well with how they've handled MW3 thus far.

The only issue Cod has is slide canceling with no restrictions, and the second one is the terrible audio there’s times where people creep up fast as hell with no sound. Then the in game lag and the cheaters. That’s really it other than the insane amount of head glitches and drop shooting

What I don’t get about the Store is that why don’t people just NOT buy anything? Do people feel like if they do not buy 24$ bundles they will be shamed for not having it like other people do? Or feel like they are missing out? The Store was atrocious and then when the DMZ bundles first came out last year I was really pissed off. And people are continuously buying all the bundles up. Everyone I see in my lobbies has all the new and old bundles. They could pay my mortgage payment with how much they’ve spent on bundles. COD is horrible.

It's not about just not buying it, it's the premise of it. We want things to be unlockable not just shoved behind a paywall. I hate the bundles they have, I want simple military style cosmetics not this cringe virgin shit, but I would rather get all these flashy skins unlockable via challenges or even in the free battle pass, not locked behind $20 bundles. I want Cod to have progression, to have things worth playing the game for, if there isn't anything to unlock by simply playing the game it devalues the entire game. The thing I liked about Blackout, was it just felt like an extension to MP, where as Warzone is like a whole separate client they melted into the MW19. Warzone and MW19 were developed side by side even though they didn't release together, but MW19 multiplayer would have been made with Warzone in mind, where as it was the opposite for Blackout, Blackout was made with multiplayer in mind.

Great video as usual T!! I don't think that warzone necessarily ruined CoD however it does negatively impact the game greatly. I think the main thing that is ruining the game is the corporate greed. They just care about money. Just look at the recent buff to the TAQ Evolvere. It gets BROKEN right before a $20 bundle releases. The bundle goes live, then the gun is nerfed shortly after. Same with the doom shotty last year. If it wasn't for that, I feel like we could have a well rounded game if they just cared about the game and the playerbase rather than whatever microtransaction they can come up with.

OG Warzone (2020-2021) brought COD back to the top of gaming. It was so much fun gaming and playing WZ during the pandemic. Then Caldera came out and killed a lot of hype then WZ2.0 killed it even more. At the same time, developers neglected MP and let it turn into a mediocre SBMM filled recycling bin. Now COD is down bad. Warzone is played out and MWIII is actually pretty decent but the SBMM makes it tough to want to play for too long

Its the same as with Madden and Fifa with ultimate team. The mode itself didnt ruin Call of Duty, but Call of Duty's SINGULAR FOCUS on the mode is what ruined it. Activision saw the giant cash cow and focused almlst exclusively on it. The game itself became designed around Warzone, and everything else suffered as a result. And now, just like with EA and Ultimate Team, Activision has now straught up built the SINGLE PLAYER MODES around Warzone too.

What makes fornite works in terms of immersion is that it’s not only not trying to appeal to an audience that wants realism, (which is what COD has specifically done) but the cartoony style compliments and even encourages goofy crossovers. Which makes it work. It helps emphasize what the game is all about, whacky, unpredictable, goofy fun. There’s no logical consistency so it wouldn’t be odd to add Goku to the Fortnite universe. Especially when you consider that Fortnite doesn’t even take place on planet earth. Back in mW19 when it was still new, hell before it came out, during interviews you had a whole bunch of people talking about how for the first time COD was gonna take a realistic approach. We see all the mechanics of firearms and how they work as they would in real life, the bunch of different optics and rails you can attach to your rifles, then once you get the game, all of that doesn’t even matter because after a while you got these unrealistic anime operators with cat ears running around with bright colors. It doesn’t matter how realistic your game is, if you insert things that don’t match the theme, especially if it was previously advertised, you’re gonna have a divided fan base that’s gonna be pissed, and rightfully so. Let’s look at the past, COD WW2, the real one, gritty, dark, unforgiving, and a huge amount of graphic content. That’s how it was during the actual thing, war crimes, people getting their limbs blown off, it was the truest reflection of WW2 in any game up to this point and everything from the guns to the factions, it all stayed true to the real thing, that’s why it was so popular. Now? It’s a joke. Consistency is key where Fortnite has succeeded and COD has failed. Maps are aren’t the greatest for multiplayer, weapons are often unbalanced, spawns are god awful, etc. And spec ops? Doesn’t even hold a candle to the older versions, and this isn’t even nostalgia talking here, they put ZERO effort.. COD is an utter, midlife crisis mess that needs to straighten out or shut down completely. And I say this as someone who’s been playing cod for the 21 years I’ve been on this planet.

Yes. Multiplayer, Zombies, and even campaign have all seen a significant reduction in resource allocation, innovation, and quality. All for a temporary trend. They're just now seeing how much that will impact them among other practices finally souring the game's image even in the eyes of lifelong fans. They will either have to backpeddle so hard that the fans forgive them, create a new fanbase on an entirely different style of game that will have longevity, or suffer the consequences of their actions and fade into obscurity. I'm honestly just watching the whole thing unfold as an observer now and I don't really care where it goes. Been burned too many times to get back in that kitchen.

I'm usually just strictly multiplayer I don't even play warzone not my style. It did run it in my opinion because you would have more people and multiplayer playing multiplayer and it'll be bigger lobbies and more matchmaking. Less people playing multiplayer now😢😢😢

Yes, yes, YES. Ruined both the 6 v 6 multiplayer and more recently LITERALLY THE CAMPAIGNS! Cod is cinematic! Turning it into Far Cry is STUPID. Far Cry not only has its own identity, but also a big reason of why those games can be 40+ hours. Because Far Cry style is done to extend play time! So using Far Cry style (weapons free) on COD and delivering a 4 or less hour campaign is nothing short of SUPER LAZY!

1:02 *No mixed reception for me, COD WW2 is best COD and FPS in the last 7 years* still play heavily today. The COD Community and Gaming world can try to deny it but *the game was innovative, simple, straightforward and saved COD* especially after The Overhaul Update. If you dont think so how are those Automatic AUTOMATIC disbanded lobbies, heavy SBMM, and 15+ aiming and sensitivity settings you change every week , treating you in those Modern CODs? lol.

Love your stories, they should make rhe games seperate. Maybe chip price in half and have multi player and seperate warzone. Insteady of downloading both , where some players dont play both.

It’s good cuz it’s for free, but it in the same time Warzone said: “I’m fr cool game!” and then: wz2 came and said “nah guys the wz1 was soooo good and it was so fun now u will not get fun ever again” and then finally wz3: “I brought back everything u need!” But tbh wz3 still doesn’t fell like wz1. So I think the WZ was actually good, we got experience from every part of the WZ!

I don't bother with story add-ons in multiplayer. It's cheap trash. MW3 basically has no story, so it's half a game. That's why the entire industry laughed at COD at award shows this year.

Battlepasses actually gave more content and I enjoyed the orginal warzone map all other maps suck I wish they would just keep all warzone maps in rotation if that's what they're gonna focus on, I do like not haven pay for new zombies maps considering the new ones tend to suck and its nice not splitting the player base up but they just rehash old maps constantly so why not just make one big free to play cod and have all warzone maps all mp maps for boots on the ground then they cam sell all the cosmetics they want, but in return I want to see more exo suit cods since titan fall is dead I really enjoyed bo3/bo4 would have been better without the hero part but I'd rather deal with that then constantly get an experience that is an after thought due to warzone

Think warzone needs his own system, with keep all the operators skins ect and build only them wich cod comes out like: modern warfare universe, black ops universe and give them also hardcore warzone mode: DMZ mode

cod, and by extension most of the fps scene, is going under cuz the devs keep throwing spagetti into the wall to see what sticks, warzone is fun from time to time but the loadouts beats the point of a battleroyal which youre suppost to drop and win with what you can find funny enough, they hit the mark with DMZ, the mode is fun, you need to use your brain (i know, something cod players dont do) its more about outplaying others then abusing the most recent crap, plus you have missions to do which will bring you to multiple areas where you may or may not bump into other people, sadly dmz, which is the best mode theyve made so far is yet to get more support, which my guess is that activision is afraid their BR, which is nothing but a milking cow to sell skins, will lose players

100% Yes, zero doubt in my mind that it did. It single handedly sucked away from campaign, multiplayer, and zombies. Those modes are a shell of their former selves.
