Before I published the video, I knew people have been talking about the faction against faction stuff we had before. I had totally agreed and that's what made me get the idea, but didn't think so many people would bother to notice the point of a theme hence me thinking this problem may not be as big for most of the community. It kind of gets drowned out when the focus goes onto other elements of the game which I understand. Although I do think this is a huge difference maker for ANY game and impacts the player more than they realize. Great points you made too, glad we were on the same page. Amazing and informative video you have made. The atmosphere of a game is very very important. It’s something Cod has just thrown away and I think it’s one of the biggest problems people have with the game.

CoD is always serious back in the day with old school-realistic skins, campaigns, gun camos-customization, operators-voice acting multiplayer, zombies, etc. which is fun and nostalgic moments; not some sh*tty, corny-horny new school skin characters, campaigns, multiplayer, “zombies”, WarZone, etc. they are all jokes

I separate the new cod and old cod with the way you used to move before vs now. Back then the weapon model stood still and when you aimed it just worked like a normal shooter. Nowadays the movement looks far too realistic in my opinion

What cod has become, right? An ego game, where even streamers are paid to hack and sell a false experience. A game where played hours is more important than community feedback. Cod players are trapped in a casino with no windows to see the external world. Guys, play another game. Go outside, go live your life. It is a game. Eventually, you’ll see that this doesn’t matter as much. Hehe

Campaign was an ad for warzone, warzone is an ad to buy the full game, multiplayer is an ad for the boys and all the other crossovers we will get, and zombies I predict will just be an ad for gulf war zombies.

The anxiety I had playing All Ghillied Up for the first time, or how jarring No Russian was when you had to commit to slaughtering a whole airport and if you chose not to shoot Makarov would turn on you, or the screams of people getting the flamethrower in World at War, The Black Ops menu music with the guitar riff….all of it was so good. Now, the graphics are the only good thing about the newer games. Maybe Activision is too scared to go back to gritty style of game but I would love to see them switch it up.

I’m just a little bit gun shy about the next Infinity Ward game considering how badly they screwed up MW2 2022 and how they’re still meddling in MW3. The Infinity Ward of old was unmatched in grit, gameplay and how good their campaigns were.

Fun fact about the Nicki Minaj skin. Some people are really down bad to her and managed to extract the character model and make porns with it. I'm not sure if Activision and Nicki herself notice that, but I'm sure they won't be very happy when they do.

See the thing is, if they come out with a skin, let it be someone who is well endowed in gun combat. Like the Punisher for instance. Take Jon Bernthal's likeness and voice and make a dope skin for it. I feel like the Walking Dead collab will feel better as people in that universe are well skilled in gun combat. Like wtf are we doing with 21, Nicki M., or frigging Homelander??

The downside is that I never had OG modern warfare 2 multiplayer, just campaign. but I definitely do still have some of the other older cod. You never forget. Some I didn't play but some I definitely did play. That was the good old days for me...

What I think a lot of the people who complain about COD skins REALLY want, is to pay for a "realistic soldier skin" and then whine about how they're not free. We have realistic soldier operators in MW3 already, but I promise you that the people who claim to want realistic skins NEVER use the base skins, they'll instead ask for real-life soldiers. Ah yes, every soldier's dream is to watch themselves get run over and teabagged by a toxic 9 year old.

And bro in the video even said, the skins isn’t what ruins it, I see you tuned that part of the video out cuz you made this irrelevant comment. It’s the skins, on top of the voice acting, on top of the lack of content, on top of the lack of passion, on top of money pull and ads the game promotes, on top of the lazy production and emerging of game modes thus taking away from the unique aspect of the seperate cod game modes that ruined it. It’s the byproduct of all those together that ruined it, everything adds up.

The skins in New Cod can be really good. The ones that absolutely suck are the weird colabs and skins with so many effects. Some colabs could work tho, if they're serious enough.

Kinda but still there is a problem with monetization.You might spend real money for that crap skin or pay crates which contains this kind of rewards... The most what game itself offer is pretty decent kind of stuff and only what I would care the most is to get nice campaign, multiplayer,some good game mode features like zombies or spec ops and DLCs containing new maps or weapons. Skins and having female characters looking like dope heroine with breast and ass is NOT what cod should be based on. Female characters might be acceptable only if wearing proper gear. About weapon camos I think there is too much color put on or they are too bright. Animation on weapons is not a must but I would bring this as an addition for very few weapon camos.

Call of duty should an option that lets you hide player skins that aren’t the military type. Like players who like the the funny/crossover skins can wear them and those that don’t can just have the skins hidden and replaced with generic operators. That way both types of players win.

COD changed years ago with the operator/camo/themed weapons bundles, they did it for the $. To draw in a younger generation. ( they want the Fortnite, Roblox, Pokémon generation). They could careless about the true COD players, they used to make $, on game sales, and DLC maps, which forced them to put out a really good game, the single player was good, the multiplayer player was really good, the spec ops was a nice change of pace. With the way it is now game play is not nearly as important as accessory sales. I remember getting my first 7 kill streak back then, it meant something. Doesn’t mean as much,now, and you’re likely to get spawned killed right after it, almost every time things are going well. Keep up the good work

I use to preorder or buy day 1 every COD but I have not done that since COD MW3 . In my opinion nothing hits like MW or MW2 , till this day I have not paid for another copy of COD , played a few with friends but did not enjoy it like before. I use to pull all nighters on MW and now I don't waste time on COD. They need to go back to the roots. Nice vid tdawgsmitty

For me, one of the best personification systems is in Cod: Ghost. You could have different clothes and suits, masks and stuff by winning them in game. And none of it went against the game vibe

MW19 & CW revived COD. Warzone was awesome with Rebirth Island and Versansk. Campaigns were great. MPs were solid. The bad part was that this was the beginning of the “free” DLC approach. Now their big money source is coming from overpriced operator bundles which get more attention and love than anything else that comes with the game you buy.

I’ve good an MP loadout especially built to deal with cringe Fortnite skins. Smoke grenade, riot shield, deployable cover, double flash. Aim of the game is to annoy, block and disrupt cringe skins on my team until they leave. Works a charm.

MW2019’s campaign was hands down one of the best campaigns I have played, simply because of the realism and gritty/dark nature, like the clean house mission, when the bad guy shot a child right in front of you (I was 16 when I first played it & still hits me hard when I play that mission). And the inclusion of white phosphorus (which is a war crime to use irl), it just shows that these dark elements and war crimes are all indeed possible in real warfare.

one time....wayyyy back....I remember saying what the hell....they bait you in by having all operators look like they are a part of the series. All tactical, no latex. Even in this game the first operators look like they are set to fight in the campaign at least. As sooooooooon as we get to season 1, BAM......BARBIE GUNS and Vampires with Ghost looking like he dont know if to be a soldier or a ex soldier who went crazy and dawns a rip off scream outfit with a talking gun. Like dude. Stop catfishing, COD. It's really insulting at this point.

the difference for me between then and now, is buying call of duty for XBOX 360 and buying a game that's complete. today we preorder unfinished games and they have no substance, .Ive been playing COD since its first release back in the early 2000s and It really opened myself to learn about WWII history. I always felt playing COD was a history lesson. the sound of a m1grand in the original COD is unforgettable.

I don't have a problem with the skins. They're gonna get their money, from skins or from $15 map dlc. They still have mil sim skins, they're free. I'd rather they sell silly skins that literally have no effect on gameplay than sell dlc maps that you miss out on the game when you can't or don't buy them

You know, I agree with most of these points, but I find it quite peculiar that Nicki Minaj's skin became the proverbial straw that broke camel's back when Call of Duty already featured plenty of absurd skins both before and after hers. Consider, for instance, the gingerbread man (and I won't buy the sentimental tale either; the skin was dreadful and ill-suited). Think about other examples like Donnie Darko, Leatherface-the list goes on. Another aspect overlooked is how MLG/streamer culture has contributed to the toxicity within the gaming community. All things considered, skins should always correspond to the game's theme-military operations, for instance. Should figures like Jax or Sonya from Mortal Kombat need inclusion, at least they boast a military background. Alternatively, if famous faces become mandatory, they too should revolve around militaristic themes.

I played 3 or 4 cod in my whole life right now. My first CoD was I think its cod 1 or 2, I played it in internet cafe and it felt hard cuz back then I was a dumb kid who is starting to get interest in pc gaming. Next one was MW2 on my cousin's PS3 it was just awesome the controller were bit drifty but I had some fun and sad moments and I didnt had time to finish the game. And last one is believe it or not World at war. It felt so amazing I played it on my laptop. My laptop was old so I had to lower the whole setting but it still felt amazing. I tried to play multiplayer but my skills were all gone I didnt managed to recover it. I think 4th one had some kind of hammer as a secret. I only played cod on pc and ps3. I wish I had better pc. [EDIT] I just wrote what I wanted to say so. Please don't swear at me like other cod gamers. They were swearing at me for only played 4 cod games.

For Warzone of party arcade games like Gun game, free-for-all, one-in-the-chamber, sticks and stones, etc., it is fine to have your own operator. But in team multiplayer, Zombies, and Co-op, it should definitely take itself more seriously. When it comes to cosmetic customization it should stick to just weapon skins and gamer tags. Weapon skins were also better when skins had to be earned NOT UNLOCKED!!!

I was baffled when I downloaded Warzone. After my first start the first thing that opened before I could do anything else was the Battlepass. It really made me sad because when I was younger, I played MW3. Even when I was shit, it was the most fun I had while playing the game, late at night alone. I miss this time and the fun.

Im relatively new to the COD scene, despite the fact im 30. I hadn't gamed for a long time since the PS2, or well PSP era and quite spontaneously decided id get a PS5 earlier this year. I definitely wish COD kept to the more gritty theme. I've actually been playing quite a lot of MW2019 instead of just MW3 because although not the same as the older games, it still keeps more to the gritty style. Ive also had a play around on MW remastered as the MP works on that and can still get a full lobby most the time! The problem is that the people who make the game aren't really aiming it at us anymore, they are aiming it at the younger gen who like this sort of stuff. They get drawn in and spend the money so they keep doing more.

As a casual CoD [Multiplayer only] player that usually maxes out at 300-400 prestige before the next game comes out. I like the stupid skins they're fun. I know it's probably unpopular opinion but I like the fun whimsy silliness.

To be fair usually CoD took itself seriously at the start but you definitely saw how it got less serious in the dlc maps they released.

We are thinking it, you just said it. My hopes were that MW II would have kept the basics and not went all cartoons on a Saturday morning… not what occurred. MW III had my same hopes.. I even got rid of my Xbox 😂. Bring back the old school COD that worked and we all love and respected.
