Interested in the game and theme but some BGG reviews say it is almost two players playing solo games with little interaction between players. Would you concur?

To an extent. There are moments and situations were you are in direct combat or competition for something, but there is a lot of group solo play here, too. Still, I think it's a great game.

Is it possible to have a 4 player game with enough expansions in play? I know this question isnt directly related to Away Missions, but are you going to be backing the gamefound Star Trek Ascendancy Big Box?

I thought I saw somebody had come up with a four player scenario. I haven’t decided yet about the new ascendancy. I’m loving the new Firefly.

I wasn't really impressed by the core gam. I thought it was OK but nowt special. But after seeing the beam away thematical misdion card of new expansion It's piqued my interest in the game again

@@TheDiscriminatingGamer I'm sure you've encountered many a game on paper you should love but struggle liking em when actually playing em. Star Trek Away Team has been in gaming cupboard for a while but not been my go to game, perhaps the extension will change my mind. A few years ago I hated Fallout Boardgame for being unplayable then they released expansion and Atomic Bond what change my view on that game and now love
