When I first listened to their album Angles, I remember telling my friend that one of the songs reminded me of "Despair in the departure lounge" by AM, but they didn't agree. Funny that Albert mentions THAT SONG in this interview that I had never even seen till now.

Yes they are indeed a seriously good looking bunch. And Nick's french imitation is awesome. I love hearing their stories, this is such a cool video, thank you for this. I love hearing people's stories about their adolescence. I remember fixing many of my brother's tapes that I inherited using a pencil, scissors and scotch tape so as to avoid getting my ass kicked. Mor etti! And the throwing tapes off the balcony is a nice image, the spool

It's incredible how much technology has shaped they way we listen to music in this modern age, before then it was extremely difficult to organize a collection of CDs of your favorite bands. With credit to their influences mentioned in the video, The Strokes' music really ushered in a new era of music listening into the .mp3 age where we are now.
