I suppose the State has their reasons... they saw the opportunity to bring down a whole gang 1st so I guess that got priority... and perhaps they think they can pressure Garcia and Magbanua to give up info. to put the nail in the coffin (they already got Rivera to sing). Right now, the evidence against the Adelsons isn't a slam dunk. So, they really need the convictions of all the others 1st - 2 down, one more to go. And tbh, it's pretty brilliant that they impugned the entire Adelson family with no one there to object for them. Both the defense and State implicated the Adelsons in some way so they were on trial without being on trial and all of that testimony can be used against them at a later date.

@daliwood123 жыл бұрын
@@Brooke52528 Hey! Sorry I missed your comment. I think the whole family is dysfunctional. Wendi has some sort of major personality disorder that the boyfriend alludes to in his testimony but it is definitely is fueled by her parents (namely her Mom who is just relentless in her e-mails) and Charlie, who I think was doing alot of drugs and living a lifestyle "on the edge". All of that combined was a disaster waiting to happen when a very, very smart man (Dan) was outwitting a family who thrives on power and control. I think Wendi knew full well what Charlie planned to carry out and I think she was desperate and vindinctive enough, not to mention feeling so much pressure from her Mom, to let it happen with no remorse. I think the Adelson Dad is probably on the outskirts being led around by the domineering wife. Not sure he knew the extent of what was happening. The State is clearly implicating Wendi, Charlie and their Mom.

I believe in order for Georgia Cappelman to have a successful outcome for the prosecution in the retrial of this case (Oct 2021), she will really have to pull together her closing argument since it is the very last thing the jury will hear before deliberations . An excellent example of how a prosecutor edited the closing argument for the retrial, is the Heather Elvis case with the trial and retrial of Sidney Moorer by prosecutor Nancy Livesay. The original trial closing was 1 hour and 15 minutes and the judge asked Nancy to ‘wrap it up’ as she was becoming too repetitive. By the time of the retrial, she’d edited her closing to 40 minutes and with a passionate and powerful delivery, she left no doubt in the jurors minds that Sidney was indeed guilty. I believe in order to convince a jury of Katherine’s guilt, Georgia will need to to show a little more passion. The facts are there - she just a little bit of work on some passion in the delivery of these facts. She tends to be a little dry! 😉

The defence can choose silence. Informal interview? Nope. Once the cops asked her difficult questions it was time to lawyer up. There's a tape of her crocodile tears during her being told of his death, but the moment she was asked anything substantive, she lawyered up. This is her legal right, no matter how obvious the guilt may seem, it is up to the state to prove guilt beyond reasonable doubt (reasonable...not a shadow of a doubt). The comments here show many people have never sat through a trial... her points are good, she just needs to learn a little about how to speak with some dynamics and use pauses for effect. basic public speaking/debating 101.

Unfortunately, it's pretty obvious. He couldn't compete - dead or not - against this family. Even with a supreme education/credentials/etc. And... being a supposedly good father.

What a terrible presentation for a closing argument...almost falling asleep. Terrible speaker (esp. given that that's a big part of her job). Anyway, as far as I'm concerned, both Magbanua and the whole Adelsons family should be arrested and thrown in jail. What a terrible bunch 🤢🤮🤮🤮

No matter how many times I hear those absolutely hideous e-mails from Donna Adelson, I am always shocked at how evil and wicked this woman is. Get Wendi behind bars as well. How long is this mess going to be dragged out? Ten years is a terribly long time… justice for Dan Markel NOW.

This is what's wrong with society. Charlie making 3 million dollars a year as a dentist. I can't afford to get my kids braces. Someone in his position should be making 300 thousand a year not 3 million. That's just my opinion.

Money talks and criminals walk. This rich family had the smarts, know how and most of all money to take care of what they considered their problem. This. Man was killed by killers who were directed by this rich family.

clearly insecure people not believing when their kids when grown - would not be able to understand religions, so instead of reason and separating civilly with divorce, the MOTHER, who couldn't drop the defamatory nickname, kept stepping in her daughters life and destroyed all of their lives.

I see little doubt this family ( 4 of them)were involved in this man's murder. This lawyer is reading notes, emails, or something that tells me they are professional bullies, seemingly lusting for a target, well they found one. Is this family still free and clear from indictments?

hahaha the whole convo between him and Katie they played prior to this phone call with mom, Katie was calling him asking for a phone number that he had for a rental home and that she needed it now and Charlie was in surgery but she really needed this number because other ppl could look at the rental etc....Charlie says “God, i’m...I’ll try to figure it out...I’m at work but I’ll figure something out cuz we def don’t want other ppl looking at the house 😂😂 now he’s calling mom asking for the number cuz they need it now....they couldn’t possibly be talking about that rental house that Katie and Charlie about could it?!?? 😂😂🤦🏻♀️ Before this set of taps, I’ve never heard Charlie and Katie had a rental home business...hahahaha has anyone else? So sketch...calls mom for the number and says he needs it now...just after talking to Katie saying she needs the number now...Sure this is talking about the same number that was written on the little envelope that was give to Donna by some weird guy while she was walking to get her grand kids 😂😂so see through!
