It was a real special pleasure to get to know SiFu Linden in person, also SiFu Gerry and SiFu Alex, as we practice Last week Yuan shou gong in the Temple. They supported me with patience and devotion for Kung fu by developing my internal energy, so now I don’t waste my energy anymore and I’m able to enjoy practicing on my own and with others in a very different way.. It’s good to learn how to turn on/off your yin and yang…to let go all that tension on your mind and body. Thank you so much for everything. See you hopefully soon. Be safe on your way home.

I always enjoy those Tea Talks here, and I just loved all the wisdom, graceful energy and sense of humour in this one - I'm really grateful for the teachings, so thank you for sharing your knowledge with us, Masters :) Great conversation between two gentle and powerful spirits! No training for me today (unfortunately) because of catching a cold and having a fever (together with quite a few members of my family), but I still want to share something with everyone else here, just in case it might help someone: I've followed the 6 days of Morning Routine Practise recently here on this channel and I felt simply AMAZING afterwards - and it was only getting better with every single day! I would never believe what excactly those exercises awaken within us, (right from the day one), and what my own lazy, tired, weak and stagnant body can do - if I didn't try it myself... I've never been the kind of person who exercised a lot (if at all) and I was completely out of shape for the last decade or so, (it's a long story about the deep depression and it's physical side effects lasting much longer than the mental ones...) but I really feel now that I can not only regain my previous health and shape, but even achieve much more than ever before! I still have to pause the videos and take many breaks to catch my breath when I practise, but I've noticed wonderful changes even after just one week of exercising... It makes me wonder what else can I achieve if I stick to it for a much longer time and practise regularly... I clawed my way back to mental health, harmony and balance by myself (again, it's a really long story...) but with the weak physical health I really needed the guidance and the structure provided by a proper Teacher, so I'm truly grateful for all the free content on this channel and for having enough luck to find master Shi Heng Yi in the vast wilderness of KZbin :) It's a curious thing, but almost as soon as I awakened my inner fire and my desire to live to the fullest again, this channel appeared on my way... And that's EXACTLY what I needed! I first tried the Relaxation Techniques video and I just LAUGHED out of sheer JOY afterwards, because I could REALLY feel the palpabale energy swirling around me and filling my own small room for a while - even after the video had already ended :) It wasn't JUST my renewed, deeper, stronger breath - there was the unmistakable POWER set into motion, circling and dacing around me even when my own movements had stopped... And it was an extremaly PLEASANT feeling - all this vitality and the child-like joy! It's as if ... I first DECIDED to finally stir the energy within my own mind, heart and soul, after years of "hibernating" or living a sort of "zombie half-life", and it worked... to some extent, but then I still lived some sort of "almost life, but still not quite the life" for a while... It was better, but somehow it still just wasn't good enough. And then, when I finally dared to scream: "I DESERVE much more than this!" to the Universe at large, on my last birthday - all this cumulated, stagnated and "bad" energy of prolonged depression suddenly managed to burst some invisible dam and started to flow into every limb, organ and cell of my body again... But I still needed MORE strength and vitality - and only when I DECIDED to properly exercise my physical body too (not just the mind, as usual, overthinking everything) - the cycle of my own rebirth finally started to feel COMPLETE... And that's precisely why I'm here - regardless of all the panting, sweating, shaking of the muscles and enduring a bit of pain for an hour a day... Because it's all WORTH it! I can already see the the difference in the mirror, I can feel it in my every move - and even my sister noticed it, when she saw me after some weeks for the first time, she suddenly said: "You look different, younger, fitter... Your face looks better and nicer... please show me those exercises too!" haha :) She's a busy mother of three little ones (including twin baby girls), but she wants to at least practise breathing exercises when the children sleep - I really hope she finds some time at least for that, she's utterly exhausted and she really needs to relax and breathe properly too, ESPECIALLY right now... So, summing up - for all those of you visiting this channel for the very first time - I HIGHLY recommend the EXCELLENT sets of exercises here: I've only practised for the mere 7 days so far, but I feel like a NEW person already - and I treat it like my own private little MIRACLE :) But of course, I would never achieve it on my own, so THANK YOU for everything you do for us (and by "us" I mean all the random people of the world who are lucky enough to discover your channel), Master Shi Heng Yi! Greetings and gratefulness from Poland! :)

My teacher and I learned all three hand forms and also the dummy form online from teachings of people like yourselves. Through that journey we were also lucky enough to be blessed with the history of Ng Mu and Wing Chun itself. The only thing in life that I have found wholly true is martial arts. It is the best only way to demonstrate one’s character and will, through all aspects of life. Any ounce of knowledge or history I can grab of these arts I seek, catch, and hold dear. I was 18 years old when I discovered Chinese martial arts and I have made it my life’s work to be come not only a student but a historian of the culture. I’m now 25 and the excitement of enlightening new people and building new skills and blossoming knew knowledge is the most gratifying and fulfilling thing I could imagine. There are many roads to the top of the mountain and I’m honored to be on it with you all. Thank you.

This conversation was so good and rich in wisdom. Thank you both sincerely for hosting this and sharing through KZbin. It addressed several of my main questions as I'm preparing to delve into a style (i.e., choosing the best style, balancing soft and hard, on choosing/waiting for the right master, cultivating energy and avoiding stagnating it, etc.). It was great how varied the topics explored were and how specific the advice was. Sincere thanks!

My profound gratitude to you both for sharing of knowledge, insights and clarity about these Arts. I am not of a young age, but have been following the Shaolin Arts for a few years, and have never felt so strong, physically and mentally. The more I learn the more I realise I don't know and want to keep going forward; follow the path, keep improving; some days are harder, but discovering so much about myself and how I have changed so positively keeps me moving. I have also listened to Master Yap Boh Heong; as Sifu Lyndon mentioned it opens another dimension. Thank you; health and happiness to all.

Stefan was no doubt very dedicated to martial arts and he was also very good at explaining together with some bodywork. I do now understand more than ever how storage blocks the energy flow and makes us sick if we don't know how to release it. This is something I have been observing in my own body and working on for a long time. I am seeking by doing. Thanx again for the inspiration and for sharing.

I practiced as a mom with two daughters with an excellent Sufi in Longmont Colorado … in the traditional Wing Chun. The training carried a respect that had internal work easy to adopt. I had though also trained in qi gong prior with a Daioist master… and had previous meditation practice… so that helped. Thank you Shi Heng Yi… the online practice is beneficial… albeit… not as grounded as trading in person. All Blessings to you and all. Sincerely, Janet

As you talk about the benefits of being Chinese or not I have to say that maybe being from Asia is helpful as the culture includes the discipline that is the beginning of the arts. Westerners lack this discipline. After that, as I watch both of your hands and arms, it is clear that you have both achieved being a master. There is a feel about it.
