Wtf. Typing this at 1:58. I’ve just gone back to shooting middle finger /wrist release and am kicking myself for ever going away from it. You make a fist and draw, plant your closed index knuckle behind you’re jaw under your ear lobe, and shoot with a longer less twitchy finger that can wrap around the trigger better. Your wrist joint doesn’t cut a weird angle in against your face as you take the trigger and your elbow/forearm line up flat with the arrow. You only need a slightly longer D loop. Totally vouch for it.

Great vid! Could you please post a video or even just a picture comparing groups of pre fletched stock arrows vs a group of custom arrows. Just curious how much the grouping improves.

I’ve found that 2 layers of heat shrink that match your shaft diameter generally = the weight of 3 blazers. If the heat shrink length is that same as the blazer you’ll be good for matching your 3 fletch weight.

How you doing today elkshape, was watching your segment on teach me how to tune with AAE episode 1 and I heard you two guys talkin about which offset on your arrow veins you use and clocking a bare shaft arrows to get to the point of which offset you need to use. Before you go any further you need to check out professional Archer Paige Pierce showing you with the same type of arrows and the same bow shooting two arrows and each of them clocking different directions one clock left and one clock right same bow 2 arrows,you need to check that out on KZbin, Paige Pierce says she doesn't concern herself with right or left she says it doesn't matter to her and she is a pro archery, personally I use a 2 degree right offset have been for 35 years my arrows shoot great. Just thought you might be interested in that.

Love the fletching and bareshaft idea. I've always thought about keeping a bareshaft with me but I just haven't. This was the push I needed. I'm also going to mess with some different fletching options now... tired of looking at the 4 fletch haha.

I love my omen! I also like shooting a different bow than everyone and their mom. Phase 4 is dope tho so I get it but that’s my 2 cents

If you have the money to spend, shoot a hoyt rx7 ultra. Blows every bow out of the water. I’m not a pse guy bc they have been known to blow up from time to time. Phase 4 is good but I personally think the rx7 ultra is better. Way more comfortable. Just not as fast

I’m using a G5 striker V2 3 blade for everything. Killed 2 elk with it. Check them out. They are tough
