Cool conformation on skillshare. Good idea to recycle KZbin or related comment and get it to create another, ongoing revenue stream. Good stuff. ☺

Thanks. I just rendered about 10 videos today to go into my Udemy course. Never ending fun! I want to release a beginners course on using R before Black Friday!

It's a bit painful to navigate skillshare but I do see the money come in faster than Adsense, that's for sure. I am due to put another short course up soon.

Good for you, dont let people discourage you, if you made 1 penny more than some other lazy person that makes you more successful

Mark Gingrass well, I have a KZbin channel, but I’m trying to talk my husband into teaching excel and other skills related to his profession as a financial analyst

Cool vid how do I recycle videos from my KZbin channel?
@MarkGingrass3 жыл бұрын
When you create YT videos, think about making a series of videos that go together to create a single project over time. You can release he vids on YT as you make them. Then, pull all of the series into an editor and make a longer version for SkillShare, Or shorter version. Be careful to either not mention a platform or put text overlaying videos that would reveal the video is in multiple places. For example, on SkillShare, you don't want to say, "Subscribe to my KZbin Channel."

This video makes Skillshare seem like a scam. If you're taking KZbin content, which is a free platform, and placing it on Skillshare, which requires a monthly fee, then Skillshare seems to be scamming people! I believe if a person actually cares about providing real value, they would put more effort into their Skillshare course instead of just putting up a simple free KZbin video! Skillshare should definitely not tolerate people doing this!

I disagree a little bit. I do agree in putting in value for the course; however, I think the value of Skillshare is that the videos are ad free and very well organized. You get what you click on. Another good thing about Skillshare is that you pay a monthly fee and you can access any course, not just one of mine. If you don't like the course, try another one. Finally, on Skillshare you have to make the videos project based, so it's not exactly a cut and paste form youtube. Surprisingly, some people prefer the organized platforms of Skilshare or Udemy over KZbin. It blows my mind sometimes too. I work in an organization that would pay for some high end tech sites for teaching, yet it's all available on KZbin for free. It's just that people all learn differently.

I am planning on doing some Skillshare courses and I have mixed feelings about Mark repurposing his content on Skillshare. One, is no ads if you are a paying customer and two is the monthly fee is the same whether you watch his content or not. But in the course of doing my research about doing a course I found (Skillshare agrees with you Mena) that they have a rule that you can repurpose content from another paid source like Udemy or another site, but you cannot repurpose content that you can get free somewhere else. So Mark, I would be careful and maybe take down the KZbin video if it is making money on Skillshare. I have heard they don't think twice about banning people.

Shouldn't you give some sort of “premium“ knowledge and content for Skillshare? Otherwise people think like, hey, what am I paying for...
@MarkGingrass4 жыл бұрын
Not necessarily. People like organized videos too. They pay for the site, not for your particular video too. So if they don't like your videos, they can move on to another.
