Teachers in my day never yelled. If there was a problem student we were sent to the office for discipline or were made to stand in the hall. We gave our teachers respect and got respect in return. We were there to learn and teachers were there to teach.

In middle school my mental health was at it's lowest and I had a meltdown in class. Instead of yelling at me, my teacher recognized that I was unwell and simply asked me what was wrong after class. My abuser used to yell at me everyday for seven years, he was an award winning band director. Middle school until my senior year. I still have flashbacks and nightmares to this day. I landed in the hospital three times between the ages of 16-19. I suffered a panic attack that lasted three hours. My sister is now a teacher and she doesn’t do anything close to this. She treats her students with respect and compassion. Seeing these losers get exposed for the scum they really are is music to my ears and has been helpful in my healing.

Bro, I remember a time when I was in my first year of highschool in math class, me and my classmates were waiting for our substitute to show up. Then three doofuses decided they wanted to close the door and mess with the lights, I told them to knock it off because there was a student who had a history of epileptic seizures in the room. The left the lights off and sat back down, so I went up and turned them back on, and right at that moment the substitute opened the door and saw me at the light switch and immediately started yelling at me because he thought I was screwing with the lights. He also blamed me for closing the door two. The worst part about it is that after he had his fit my other classmates finally decided to tell him it wasn’t me. School is a prison yard.

My school would gatekeep the bathrooms to "teach students a lesson" like- the only times that the bathroom would be free would be during the 5 minute period between classes, and there are not enough bathrooms on each floor for all the students to use it when needed, so most of those 5 minutes would be walking to the bathroom itself. I knew a lot of classmates who pissed themselves/had accidents, would get detention for being "late" just because they didn't have enough time to use the bathroom and come back in 5 minutes, and a one (that I know of) who actually got an infection in their bladder for holding it too long.
@TwilightEXEYT8 күн бұрын
My middle school tried to do the same thing, and a fourth of the school got UTIs and had to repeal the rule after the local hospitals called after the 6th case lmao. We only had three minutes and half the time the classes were on the other side of the school (5 minute jog) so you had to sonic-speed run just to make it to class on time. When they did let you go to the bathroom, you had 30 seconds and you had to be escorted by one of the IEP teachers All because of slap boxing existing (it didn’t even happen more then twice in our school, only outside of school) and like 1 fight in our school
@ScatterBrainedYouBetterFollow7 күн бұрын
My high school made a rule that each class had one bathroom pass, and as long as someone else had it you couldn’t go to the bathroom. Me and a buddy would steal these bathroom passes behind everyone’s back so they had to roll back the rule, I still have them almost 7 years later
