It sounds and feels a little like what Maximilian Dood attempted in some of his earliest "Assist Me" vids (or was it "The Online Warrior"?), before the cosplay started. There were a couple vids where he'd watch replays of other people's play that were submitted and try to give constructive criticism as to what they did well and what they could improve. And he did it respectfully, like JM here. Been A LONG time since he did that though.

AHVBx3 connects on every character but bigger characters and assists can be caught with up to 5 because they fall at different speeds thsn smaller characters

Ngl tho this is what I didn’t like about mvc2. There was so many good characters but so many were broken to the point that some were unplayable. MVC3 definitely fixed that with its insanity. I hate that not every character in this game is viable, but regardless, I still miss gaming like crazy, especially any fighting game.
