Sad that collection sucks tho, they removed all the charming menus the original games had. I wish they were sold separately on Steam as their games instead as individual DLCs, you know, like the Orange Box on Steam (Not consoles). They also made progression for cosmetics extremely easy, they really crossed the line because i managed to unlock the rarest pieces of cosmetics of Halo 3 and Reach on a single week, it didn't require any grinding at all. Its really stupid, they should have kept the grinding to make things like the Haunted Helmet and some effects very rare as they should.

This game is not a new release, it's a re-release of a 20+ year old game, made for the fans of that game (and their money, of course), with some QoL and modernized features for those who want to start now. It's supposed to be a glorified time capsule. A balance change would just be really out of place. It almost took a full decade but Capcom may finally be pulling their head out of their own a**. They hired someone with a brain. Making it any different from the standard competitive version was going to hurt sales and the main fans would remain offline or on fightcade and avoid a "reworked," version with gameplay changes. While it should have been released with all glitches intact, it does show that someone at Capcom was smart enough to realize the error needed to be fixed upon release in order to save innumerable sales. This was a smart call for business and the players. It's still a little unfortunate that they seemed unaware prior to the complaints since the complaint SHOULD have been predictable to anyone promoting a release of MVC2. Their eye isn't quite on the ball, yet but, at least they are making corrections when they fail to deliver instead of making excuses or explaining why their changes are "better."

Couple of things they could've also did was add in a Versus Mode based on the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection where you can select the game, game version stage & characters. Another is upscaling the character sprites to be based on the HD PS3/X360 but I get on why they didn't.

In regards of “patching in bugs” The Command & Conquer Remastered Collection despite its name is actually a complete rebuild from the ground up (not just a remaster) and they wanted the experience to be exactly the same as the original games back in 95/96 so they intentionally recreated all the bugs from the original games. In the patch notes when they fix/address bugs some a referred to as “Legacy bugs” which are bugs from the original games. Legacy bugs get fixed or left based on community feedback. For example there’s a legacy bug where the AI won’t create new harvesters if you destroy them resulting in the AI just running out of resources, this was patched by community demand. There’s another legacy bug where the AI doesn’t realise that sandbag walls can be attacked so it’s possible to build sandbag walls across the map and just box-in the AI. This was left unpatched by community demand.

Definitely not a fighting game, but there was a character duplication glitch that was patched out of LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga and then patched in again as a feature. They still put a limit on how many characters you could spawn in, but it was nice to see that they listened to people who missed the glitch.
