Unlocking basic techniques is what makes me keep coming back to this. Even though its tiring, its so fun for a beginner

I'm learning right now, at the ripe age of 33 after skiing my whole life. These videos are so fucking awesome. Every time I watch one I just want to strap back in and go. Thanks Kevin!

If only we all had a good friend to teach us! What a gift. 🎁 I need to learn how to turn this season! Heading to Echo Mountain in 2 weeks. I read they have an ambassador program going which is not lessons but you can ask them questions. I hope they can help me! Wish me luck yall.

I just wanted to say thank you very much for these videos. I just had my second day on a snowboard and at the young age of 46 ha ha I linked some turns today and it feels great. Thank you so much Kevin.

Great! It's never too late for us. I am turning 40 this year and had my first day today and I lost count of how many times I fall plus a bruise on my knee but I never gave up and finally I got the feel of it. Heading for 2nd day. lol And if you happen to be in Italy (I live in the Italian preAlps and Alps is not far from where I am located, feel free to have me as your test subject :) )

Linking turns on 2nd day is really great. I’m on day 3 and can barely link the turns.

😂 I only had two boards with me in New Zealand and my park board would have been to small for Chris.

Just finished first two days of snowboarding ever at age 46. I was looking a lot like him. Unfortunately got run into by a kid not paying attention and lost the rest of the week to a probably sprained ankle. Not too serious hopefully because I want to go again in February. It was a ton of fun learning.

I do, because I just started trying switch turns. My brain was resisting those first toe-side turns something fierce, especially trying to start the turn properly by knee-steering, not just flinging the back leg around.

I am happy for him seeing he can do the toe turn, coz, I am just be the same as him cannot do the toe turn😢. It turned out that I was trying to do the toe turn from the left side and failed all the time as I am regular and my previous instructions is the goofy one😅

I'm only a begginer too but looks like his weight is too far back and he is turning by counter rotatation rather than steering with his front foot?

i went snowboarding for the very first time last night.. started to someone get the hang of the heel turn towards the end, but i had a lot of trouble with the toes.. every time i would either fall backwards on my ass or falling forward to my knees.. what am i doing wrong?

Why do you have to go right foot in front? Can you not go left foot first when learning if it feels more comfortable?
@Lumiiinine
@Lumiiinine Жыл бұрын
Are you goofy stance (right foot forward) or regular stance (Left foot forward). Do what's comfortable for you... if you're learning from someone whose the opposite stance than you just reverse the shoulders/leg instructions
@jennifercurrotte7159
@jennifercurrotte7159 11 ай бұрын
Stand with your feet slightly apart and have someone give you a hard push backwards. Whatever food you step back with to keep from falling backwards is the foot you should ride back.on snowboard. Foot that stays in place will be your front foot on snowboard. Some people are comfortable on both ( reg or goofy).

He was putting weight on his back foot, and whenever he started to lose balance, he twisted his waist and back foot around to turn and brake. He should put weight on his front foot and let the back foot follow the flow of the board, right?

@Herbsy420 this. Except thats advice for the young guys lol. I'm still a beginner. I bought a board because the house was going out of business. Everything was 70% off. I knew it was a stiff camber board. But I loved the battle angel anime art work. People were like don't worry. If you can ride that you can ride anything. But honestly I'm tired of eating shit all the time.

He’s trying to throw his waist around. He should control with toe and heel pressure and point where he wants to go. He’s throwing his turns hard and shouldn’t keep this habit.
