This is simple, and beautiful. There are some artists that overload paintings with paths, trees, bushes, flowers, sun beams, etc. Lately, I've been appreciating the open bare fields/land scenery. With the right amount of details, I find paintings as such to be beautiful.

👋Good evening, Stuart, how are you? - No, I have not slept, but saved this video especially for tonight, so I can see it in one piece, from the beginning to the end. You've proven your mastership again, even as an instructor, although you don't have to prove it to students and amateurs. The artwork looks great and contains quite some interesting structures. The lower row of clouds contributes significantly to the depth of the painting, the landscape, which was created very gradually, looks so very interesting because it was created inside of you and is therefore unique, and the overall painting, whose creation one simply has to follow from the first to the last brushstroke, is excellent. If you walk along the paths, you find yourself in the midst of the scenery, absorb it, and even the next day you remember having been "somewhere", perhaps not in this world, but in another. Should the works of an artist leave an impression in the "matrix", perhaps we create new worlds or parts of them with it, which in my opinion does not happen when one paints or copies according to reference; because nothing new can be created by this (but it is of course an exercise to improve). Anyway Stuart, I look forward to a part 2 or a new painting, I like this one as it is. But: it is YOUR imagination that takes substance here. Thank you very much, and have a good remainder of the evening.💐

I was struggling to bring a painting (still life) to a point at which I could leave it for a while when some words from your video(s) sprang to mind.......I immediately took the action required (including relaxing) and hey presto, job done! I watch your videos right through because I enjoy just watching and listening, apart from gaining technical advice (.eg remove unwanted paint with linseed, not solvent) and methodologies - scrunched up kitchen paper is one of the things that solved the probs with the painting mentioned previously. Thank you SO much .

Fritz Perls talked of the simple viewing as a creator of interest/purpose. Once "satisfied" then it loses its focus, so we look to find "new interest". Your discovery process in action cycles the interest mental processes. To finish is a memory of what was valuable but importance changes. I enjoy your perception first/discovery second/then memory of creating past shapes to be "satisfied" good mental therapy.
