I have a bit of a complaint about the finals in Stockholm. Yes, the venue was great, the event was fun and very well produced (except for those flashbang lights) but there wasn't a single stand with Overwatch related merch. Apart from the jumpers included with certain OWCS add-ons, there was nothing people could buy to support the product or even the teams?? It'd have been really cool if the Teams has small stands or even if we could buy some generic OW / OWWC merch. Maybe once the partner program kicks off there will be more of this going forward at the live events in 2025 and beyond.

I was absolutely baffled I couldn’t by team jerseys. I saw a couple of OW statues in the Elgiganten store, But they were silly money. Had to buy the a SSG jersey online instead, just for the team to get dropped the next day 😂😂😂

I think this is the first episode covering an overwatch world finals, where there aren’t dedicated segments to talk about the grand finals match, or teams performances in the event. Like ssg, ence, or falcons or etc. Meta was disappointing, but I still feel like teams should get some talking points. No hate really!

I agree though to cut them some slack there wasn't much to talk about due to how onesided these matches were. Would've been fun to see an upset or even close matches so the weaker teams and underrated players get some spotlight but alas.

I think bans are a good thing overall but I am a bit wary that teams like SSG will get picked apart. I like seeing niche team specific comps, I think that sort of team identity adds a lot to the viewing experience, it would be shame to have that gone completely.

i think it really was a shame the mauga mirror felt so boring and unbalanced to watch because when there was other comps on screen the crowd was going crazy. Specifically during the grand finals Gibraltar there was just screams and cheers for every sleep dart and anti nade and the vibe was just so much more electric and i wish we could have had more of that. the actual event running though seemed really smooth and only a couple pauses

Can you guys talk at some point about why OWCS has no advertisers? When that timer comes up with 3 or 4 minutes of music, I always think "how is it possible that they can't sell an ad during this time?" Is their ad-buy pricing just ridiculous? I would think it can't still be the sexual harrassment lawsuit from 2021. Like even if blizz just advertises their own games, it would be better. Show me a Diable 4 ad or something. Or they could play the older Overwatch cinematics or something. 3 to 4 minutes of dead air multiple times through he broadcast makes no sense.

The 3/4 Minute break is primarily for players allows them to go to the washroom, smoke, etc… for teams to pick maps and players and if a player subs in the have to set up their stuff. I’ve seen some ads during the Japan OWCS I think they were for SteelSeries irrc

I might be going tinfoil here but I have almost no doubt that if CR won instead that there’d be at least a quarter of the episode dedicated to glazing them. The difference in popularity between them and Falcons is stark

@@nowun6043 stalker played amazingly i cant deny and he def deserves some praise and the MVP award. but imo falcons' greatest strength that ultimately got them the W against raccoons is their superior understanding of the mauga brawl. it's more of a team / coaching diff than a single player diff.

I really dont understand the "banning their best hero" argument at all. Pros play meta. they're not one tricks who need to play their genji or tracer to perform well.

It always triggers me when I hear that Juno is too present, when ana Lucio have been in that spot for yeaaaaars. Now I agree that even after her nerf, she is still too OP and they need to tweak it, too much heal alongside too much damage boost. And if they don't want to nerf that, they need to change beams buff effect and how it's applied. (Would be fun if a shield could block the beam to hit)
