Here's what happened Michael. Both the Grunt and Mewtwo were on one stock. The Grunt grabbed Mewtwo and the Grunt when outside of vision range under the map which KILLED it and Mewtwo's tail tip was BARELY in vision range 31:41 ( I made the time a little before ) under the beam, killing the Grunt, but not Mewtwo.
