Love when people say aircraft or military grade aluminum lol. 6061 t6 is a heat treatable alloy that has magnesium and silicon in it which provides corrosion resistance and medium strength. Still can’t decide if I want the ltp of the carbon. The shroud looks different

To those only expecting to be threatened by ballistic level threats, you're underestimating how devastating a non ballistic head wound can be. I personally don't ever plan on being in scenario where I would be at risk of being shot in the head.. not just that but at risk of being shot in the head only with something the helmet is rated for. But I know from experience that a little protection could go a long way.. I experienced a fairly brutal head wound involving a concrete drain cover as a small child and almost bled out.

The EXFIL LTP is a bump helmet for training and/or swiftwater exercises. For example, the U.S. Coast Guard Rescue Swimmers run this helmet for in-ocean missions. If you're looking for a ballistic helmet, we have the EXFIL Ballistic and EXFIL Ballistic SL, which are both NIJ II-A rated.

As far as I am concerned with testing's, even if you get hit in the head with a 5.56 or larger by chance with a ballistic helmet you will wish you would be dead if not dead anyways. Ether way you will be out of the fight probably for good. But I would consider ballistic if I know 100% I was going into a very active zone with explosions and bullets flying everywhere for at the very lest it will fair better with the small stuff.

Dous not offer balistic protection. I dont know the law in the usa - every us state might have different rules to allow/ban balstic helments. In germany, you are not allowed to own, buy, sell anykind of that. Better a bump helment than no protection at all.

@@IngoPagels I would suggest you not wearing one in the first place. It will not help you with anything and you might be better off with one of those fake airsoft helmets if you are the type thats simply looking to protect your head from slow projectiles and debries.

I cheched wendys website. Seems there is no official or certification for that kind of helmet. Your maybe right and a bicycle helmet will offer way more protection. Pretty sad... =(
