Started carnivore 2 years ago because my psoriasis was all over my head flaking causing me to have a bloody scalp with open sores all over on it. After 3 months my open sores completely healed, I still had an inflamed pink/reddish scalp. But kept pushing on and after another 4 months my head was completely healed. Lost 140 pounds as well over the 2 years. I have before and after pics, I love Saladino and so stoked to seen him on the pod. So happy to be healed of my processed food addiction and be able to walk around with confidence no more flaky bloody scalp.

@FeelingLOL
@FeelingLOL 6 ай бұрын
@@lukesmith3283 at first I ate as much as possible to become fat adapted. Once fat adapted I switched to OMAD, I was fasting for 22 hours and creating an eating window for 2 hours. I would usually eat a ribeye and 4 beef patties I would make out of 1LB of ground beef. I feel the fasting may have helped with the healing. I was also doing 3 day just water fasts once a month, after I was healed though I stopped doing them. I only drank mountain valley spring water I cut coffee out as well until about a year ago I added coffee back in just for fun.

@@lukesmith3283 I'd fast 22-2, so 22 hours of fasting 2 hours of eating. I didn't start fasting until I was really fat adapted 2 months in. I personally think the extended fasting may have helped healing. I would usually eat a 1-2 LB RibEye + 4 80-20 burgers each day seasoned with redmonds sea salt. I still occasionally had mustard for flavoring. Drinking mountain valley spring water as well cutting all artificial sweeteners out.

This was an "excellent" podcast . It was great to see Saladino be very open minded despite what he strongly believes in . What also was great is to see everyone on this podcast chime in on what they knew , didn't know and are open to learning and or trying . Unlike when on a show in mainstream media people are so quick to want to have a rebuttal and or want to go to quoting conventional wisdom as gospel . I remember Saladino being on a TV show once (I forget the name) and they just chewed him out . They just attacked him with conventional wisdom not trying to hear anything he had to bring to the table. This is why I love social media . People can come together, humble themselves and try and navigate through it all . Job well done by everyone on this podcast ❤

You get sick because of going into complete ketosis pulling sugar out of cells. Also you start dumping oxalates and toxins out of your body from veggies or years of bad foods you were eating. I had eczema as a baby. It can be a side effect from va$$nes. I then got eczema again in my 30's a couple years after getting a he$ B $h@t and all of sudden had an issue with peanuts and reacted to certain nuts and seeds which are also processed with peanuts. it took many years to figure it out and clear the eczema due to my profession. my current diet is mostly fruit, some vegetables, fish sparingly and eggs here and there. To me if feels balanced. I don't drink any caffeine or alcohol or anything processed.

For some people, including me, nuts and eggs are inflammatory for their skin and gut. So you should pay attention to that, too. Plus gluten and dairy, of course.

If you have any issues or just want to give it a shot, stick with organic grass fed beef/pastured meat when possible, organic and or raw dairy/milk/butter when possible, organic pastured eggs, and organic fruit. Fruit would include things like squashes.

@@SuburbicultureAZ but if you aren’t incredibly rich… feel free to do non organic non grass fed meat as well and regular eggs. But definitely stick to organic fruit if you choose to do fruit.
