Well, Ditto can transform into anything, but not inanimate objects. Yeah, even Mew can do that but only on Pokémon, which is exactly why Goh wants to capture every Pokémon since one of them might be Mew in disguise.

Now imagine a Pokemon game where you can both deny a challenge from a trainer or challenge them again as many times as you want, with the trade off being their AI is actually competent and their team composition is actually well thought instead of being 6 Magicarps. That way trainers become an optional challenge the player can engage in, farm for money post game and become a preparation for the Elite 4 and competitive scenario, as opposed to arbitrary roadblocks and time wasters when you're trying to get to the next Pokemon Center that's just a few steps away but with 20 trainers in the way!

My favourite way to defeat trainers is to Step 1: *grab a Snorlax in a pokeball* Step 2: *drop Snorlax onto trainer* Step 3: *return Snorlax* Step 4: *make electrode commit suicide with Explosion to get rid of the evidence* And that’s my favourite way to kil- I mean get past a trainer [after Snorlax is dropped give Snorlax a bath because trainers have ketchup in their pockets]

That's one hilarious video. Especially when the trainer summons Primal Kyogre to use Torrential Rain. Nobody wants to have a Pokemon battle in the rain! XD Also, having a Ditto turn into a sexy human being to cause the trainer to turn his head while you sneak by is funny as heck. (And yes, it's revealed that Dittos CAN transform into human beings, Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon show a sidequest where five Dittos transform into humans.)
