@ChrisMenardTraining great video. Whats the best way to "post" updates to my team for comms purposes but also to trigger some actions out it? is it better to have post in the team channel or through a MS app? thanks

Our chat have a retention period of 90 days. We consider this when deciding between chat or teams. Cheers!

Different organizations may have different retention periods (set by the governance body for your tenant). Our organization has "persistent chat", that is, no expiration period for chat.

How do I convert a Chat groups (created by others) to a Team Channel? So I can better manage files (folders, delete, etc.) My workaround for files - download chat files locally, organize, then upload to a Team Channel. But better to move a group to a Team Channel for auto sync. Thanks.

I know how to post to multiple Teams at once but how do I get replies to flow to both posts between the channels? Basically I want replies in the separate posts to flow to the other.

Hey. What if most of the time people in my company uses their mobiles, and we comunicate a lot by texting. But we have like dozens of projects at the same time. I would love to make teams for each, but what if I need the post zone in a team to be easy to find just with a button like whatsapp. If somebody needs to chat, doesn't have the time to go and look carefully into the team and y then into the post zone. I should use only chat groups? Or there's a way to navigate in the post zone of dozens of teams as easy as chat groups.

When you create a Microsoft Teams - Team, it creates a Microsoft 365 group. You can also create M365 groups in the Admin settings.

I work for a power utility and am trying to help my department. We have a full screen dedicated to Microsoft teams for the day. I find that chat notifications give us a little bubble, that tells me to click into chats, and see who messaged me. But when someone messages in one of my teams, there is no bubble to notify me about it. If I click Teams, then the name of the team with the new message is BOLD, but still no bubble on my left side panel. The only way around this is to @(team name) in order to get a notification passed around. Any thoughts on this?

Click on the three dots to the right of the channel name, select notifications, either select all, or go to custom and change your notifications.
