Here I go thinking, "This game runs fine - what are you talking about!?" before remembering I watch videos at 1.5X speed. Man, that was funny going from normal speed (to me) to what the emulator was actually running at. WIIIIiiiiiiiinnnnnnndddd! At any rate, I did the Facebook stuff last month/year. I really, REALLY hope people who watch this push you to 10k likes sooner rather than later... your poor editors, working at the mercy of KZbin's stupid rules about social engagement.

When I finally got a PS2 for Christmas, I didn't get any games. Instead, I was given money to buy them the following day at the local Game Crazy (RIP). I was excited to get my hands on games of this gen, as I was late to the party. I bought Burnout, FFX, Kingdom Hearts, and Tony Hawks American Wasteland. Imagine my joy as the cashier gave me two free games at checkout, Gungriffon Blaze, and a copy of this. Felt like a little king walking out that store, but little did I know one of these games would almost completely ruin that high I was feeling. Why I played Godai first, I couldn't say, but it made everything after feel so much better.

Sure, if it were an Avatar: The Last Airbender game, (based on the cartoon, not the godawful movie), and not a bootleg Onimusha, or what Sekiro could've looked like if it were a ps2 game from 2002. But I never played Sekiro anyways, but that game looked cool though. Is this what Max Payne would've looked like if it were set in Ancient Japan? I mean; that sounds like a good idea, but this game just looks disappointing as hell, like a direct to video, bargain bin take on low budget kung-fu movies, like a game based on a low budget kung-fu or samurai movie about collecting/mastering the elements, something Avatar: The Last Airbender cartoon would later go on to make into one of the best shows of all time, and something M. Night Shyamalan would go on to ruin years after the show ended, and then; an even worse licensed game based on the awful movie would appear on the Wii, with crappy motion controls, and deliver yet another sucker punch to the faces of Avatar fans everywhere. And if Ben and Peter haven't covered that game yet, I hope they get around to it eventually. It's a crap game that basically makes Avatar look bad. Sorry for rambling though.

Why isn't their games master/victim select screen got more options? The various Billy Rays, Scandal P, Roos Boss etc could be options. Sure the lads are the only one's that are gonna get picked, but a character select screen usually has a bunch of characters. Seems like a wasted opportunity to briefly feature fan art/craft/tat or something. I don't know.

The CGI cinematics in this game are not the worstest of the worst (considering its time). But they definitely are not good either. Kessen came out two years prior and have better cinematics. Onimusha came out the year before and kessen 2 launched the same year. I was and still am a sucker for Asian history and eastern inspired fantasy settings. I were always ogling this game in the store as a kid. But luckily I spent my hard earnt money on kessen and Onimsuha instead:p

Ah, not again... we were all just getting used to it being a thing again. But I agree though, love the South Park Canadian/Monty Python-esque slides; it's hilarious. As someone who's always loved watching South Park; I can't believe Peter and Ben are Canadians! They must have Canadian/British relatives; which is probably why they have the English accents.

This game looks like an underbaked Genma Onimusha/Ninja Gaiden imitator suffering from chromosonal surplus. The jump/glide mechanic looks fun but that's about it. And weapon degradation is... interesting but poorly implemented.
