This makes me think they should add like a monster contracting side-quest. Maybe have Kilton assign bounties for you to hunt down special monsters in caves so he can improve his shop. BOTW definitely suffered from having a massive open world, but only really 3-4 different boss variations. I don't expect something like Elden ring where there's like over 50 different boss designs in the overworld alone, but some variety definitely makes the world feel more unique and alive.

I’d love to see Iron Knuckles, Darknuts, and maybe even Darkhammers return, along with Phantoms, the spectral knights from Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks. For the Phantoms i’d love if they took on a more ghostly visage, warped spirits of warriors of ages past. As for darknuts, a malice infused twist could be interesting. Corrupted by malice and forced to slay their kindred, these battle hardened fallen knights of Hyrule seek a warriors death and the freedom from the malice for both themselves and their brothers and sisters forced into puppets of the corruption.

@@xenocross6597 having them be straight up immune to direct attacks (including the flurry rush) could be an interesting way of bringing back some puzzle elements. Wallmasters would be an interesting one in the context of Sheikah technology, imagine if the Sheikah cut hands off of giant creatures and then bound them into eternal servitude via some sort of autonomous, mechanical brace with a design similar to the legs of a Guardian (maybe even a precursor to full-blown Guardian tech). Not only would you be forced to contend with the Wallmasters' typical, stealthy, predatory behavior, but if you ever get a chance to really examine it, you'd realize it's doing so against its will, sometimes twitching and struggling against its relentless restraints, even in undeath
@ShadowSkyX2 жыл бұрын
Speaking of wallmasters, they seem to be powered by blue energy, seen above the wrist. In fact going back to ocarina of time, all three power sources exist from botw/2. Renaming magic as stamina/spirit energy still makes a lot of sense. The green liquid found only underneath the graveyard that acts similar to malice, the blue flame, and the fact the lens of truth is not only colored the same as malice but both that and the mask of truth share malice shaped eyes. Then there's the "lava" beneath ganon's castle. The red "ice" being canceled out by blue flames holds up to sheikah energy - powered by blue flames - - which the master sword glows in the final fight. My hot take these days is that ganondorf had injected malice into himself at some point during those 7 years and actually died in the final fight. While he is "immortal" and has the rage to keep it up, this made him weak to the master sword. The malice works given his understandable rage at losing. I can see ganondorf looking for a way to live as possible so he could rule hyrule forever. Urbosa's words that the gerudo do not tolerate leaving unfinished business actually explains a lot about ganondorf. Somewhat unrelated I think there is another mirror of twilight beneath the castle in twilight princess. The pyramid seal acts like the pillars in botw and showed up for the same reason. It wasn't ganon locking us out from coming back, it was designed in keeping ganon from leaving and protecting the rest of hyrule.

What I am hoping to see in Tears of the Kingdom is the return of the Successors of Hyrule’s Champions(Sidon, Yunobo, Teba and Riju). Instead being sidelined, they should be fighting along side Link as each have build confidence & strength to defend Hyrule from the very threat each shared. Maybe on a side quest perhaps since Death Mountain is infested with Ganondorf’s malice. Also, the sequel of Breath of the Wild needs to confirm whether if they remember their victories from the Age of Calamity timeline since each are pulled to this reality to save this version of the Champions, Link and Zelda. Just like Ocarina of Time, changing the past can create two or three diverted timelines. It is complicated but time travel has always been a part of the Legend of Zelda lore.

I love how these bots aren't even trying to be realistic, it's so dumb. XD

the Helmaroc King boss battle should have one of those infinite updrafts similar to Revali's training ground, so you basically have infinite stamina (because iirc in the training ground your stamina regenerates midair). To make it seem less random we can say that when the Helmaroc King's wings flap, they cause a swirling ring of wind to surround them.

Just wanted to say that I really love this video concept, and your ideas to contextualize them in the world of TotK are amazing. I'd love to see more of these, even after the game comes out.

A part 2! This is great! I love the creepy reimagining of certain enemies. I would hate to see a wallmaster start chasing me. Hoping you would consider Deku/Boko Babas, Leevers, maybe something as wild as a Real Bombchu.

You had me at the Helmaroc King. One of my absolute favourite LoZ enemies. And you broke me with the story of the fate of the Gorons. Well done.

I have a story /lore reason for why Aquamentus is here. "Due to the malice pouring out from the caverns below Hyrule, monsters like the Hellmasaur King and others emerge from the underground. Link gets a side quest from the Korok that some Korok have been reported missing and they have been seeing something large within the fog of Korok Forest. As well as this, Farmers and soldiers from the newly rebuilt Hyrule Kingdom report sightings of seeing a unicorn but much larger..."

Redeads definitely need to return. While the Stal enemies were fun, they were only of the living enemies in the game, and only a handful of them. But imagine you're traveling the roads and try to forage for some goods, or maybe find a place to start a fire, then hear a fear inducing shriek before the gangly zombies appear. Also, just imagine if something like a Lynel could have a stal variant. It's even swifter due to the loss of its flesh and muscle, and can break apart, letting its legs rampage around while the torso either floats around trying to hit you with a weapon, or just lumbers towards on its bony fingers

With the foresight of all final trailers and footage, but still before the game releases, I believe that the malice at Death Mountain afflicted at least 1 Goron or took all the onslaught and became something like Twilight Princess's FYRUS from the Goron Mines.

I greatly enjoy these videos! It’s more about ideas than theories and it’s something everyone can agree would be pretty cool. Enemies I think would be cool? - Wosu (like dog Lynels) - Giant octoroks - Iron Knuckles / Gerudo soldiers (turned loyal to Ganondorf) - Deku Baba - Thunderbirds?

Fantastic work on both the ideas and the art just like in the first video. It would be amazing to see even a couple of these come to fruition in some way, especially the undead enemies which were strangely underrepresented in BOTW. My favorite of these was Aquamentus, this would be a really great and spooky new take on it! TOTK has a lot of opportunity to bring back and...breathe new life into older monsters like BOTW did for the Lynels, so fingers crossed that it takes it.

1:46 I personally think that Helmaroc King represents Wind Waker too much for it to reappear in anything other than a spinoff like Hyrule Warriors. I personally think Skyward Sword's Furnixes would probably be a better fit here. Love your artwork, though.

These are all great, but the Bubble design made me say, "oh wow" out loud, I like how it incorporates the swirly green designs from the trailer. The last entry was also an unexpected, dark, and very cool concept.

I always thought that BotW would have been perfect for brining back the 'carnivorous plant' style enemies like Deku Babas or Manhandla. Also, I can definitely get behind bringing back more classic dragon baddies. If not Aquamentus, then perhaps Gleeock or Trinexx.

One enemy that I think would fit perfectly in BOTW are the Wolfos. In TOTK, they could return as wolves corrupted by Ganon's malice. Or better yet, they could be travelers that transform into Wolfos at night, just image being walking in Hyrule during the night and you see a lost traveler, at first you think is another Yiga member, but when trying to speak with them, they transform into Wolfos in front of your eyes and start attacking you. Other enemy I would love to see are the Darknuts, imagine an enemy who has the same combat skill as Link, and the only way to defeat them is by pure ability, no weak point, just sword and shield against sword and shield. Man, I'm REALLY excited for this game

3:55 - 5:40 Actually now that I think about it, the elemental Keese also sort of act as the "new" bubble as far as that weapon function, at least the electric keese where if they zap you, you drop your weapon.

When you talked about those Bubbles i imagined how cool it would be, if those massive stone(?) skulls, some boko camps use as their shelter/base, somehow became a giant version of those monsters. Not in a spirit like way as imagined in the video, but more like the way that these skulls become possessed like seen in previous Zelda games. Maybe they become infested with malice or this spiritual green glow and after you cleared out the bokos and you're about to leave it suddenly starts to glow and begins to move up from the ground with a terrifying howl, trying to eat you alive and after escaping it's maw you have to face off against this massive flying Skull. There are just so many possibilities in wich way the second installment can go. I can't wait to explore this familliar but new Hyrule myself. Thanks for your videos, they keep me so hyped!
